Send him and the RO director a certified letter addressing your consern........you demand a yes or no answer, as you have jumped through the needed hoops in order to make a decision. If Voc rehab denies your app, then add this to your IU claim, then go for the ILP.

Any Union or non union will balk at outsourcing. If you think it will lead to your jobs demise, it's human nature. While I do see that there are some pause to some of all unions contracts, it takes two parties to sign the dotted line, but blaming the VA workers union for the VA problems are way over the top. Working for the govenment is not as easy as it sounds, given the autocratic way they do things, most folks want some protection. My wife works for the VA, and understaffing is a major problem for qualified staff needed to do the job.

I think you have a good claim for CUE on the MH issue based on a faulty MH exam.........The other issues, I would seek a IMO, at least those most important to you.

Guys we are months from the CPI calculation from becoming official..........These are the months that you will see the good numbers pumped and the bad numbers hidden, if you don't understand this COLA thing is a farce, you have not been watching your pennies. You will get a separation Physical and you should also be hooked into the VA system at that time.........You move until the pain says no more, Period. Just make sure the the DOD does not try and screw you on the exit exam......I take it you are being medically discharged?

Do you have a VSO, if not you need one at least for this issue........get to one, explain the situation and do not take no for an answer. As a homeless Vet, this should not be hard for the RO to accomplish. You can also call your congress critter and light another fire by telling them you are ready to go to the MEDIA over this.....and be prepared to do it.

You really need to get yourself a good Ortho IMO from outside the VA before you tackle this beast again........There are just to many secondary conditions that will come out of the SC'ed issues you filed for, but a C&P will not cut the mustard on most issues, you need to be proactive in making your case.

You and your wife have some leg work to do depending on what the Big brown envelope has inside of it............Switching roles will be easier than you think, we did it here, and my wife took the Ch35 benny's and is a nurse. Depending on how the VA speak is, you might find yourself in a position to ask for P&T, which will be the Golden Ticket, not only for school but for Champ VA, which is some of the better insurance in the market.

Don't forget to check with your state to see if they free tuition for your wife.......also check into the property tax waivers.

This and the Agent Orange claim jumped out at me............This thread makes me angry. I ran into a simular situation with a (AO) Vet that was having Chemo the same time as my father, after 4 hours of talking to them, I was steaming mad at the VA. After filing the paperwork for the real benefits he should have gotten, he passed away.......I got her the DIC pretty quick, but it was no excuse for the VA not to have taken the extra step, as there were so much they deserved that were not given....................On another note, I was not aware that a NP has the authority to fill out and sign a death certificate????
