I Called Bob

Question

Hey, Vets. This works great. I called Bob on Wednesday. Thursday morning the BVA gomer calls to find out whazzup. Then today the DRO calls up to say they are doing my DRO (which I didn't ask for) on my NOD of my CUE denial for a rating reduction. VA Seattle is 545 days out on DRO reviews. I submitted the NOD on 4/30/2014. The DRO asked me what I wanted. 100% from 1994 and SMC S.

http://asknod.wordpress.com/2014/10/03/vasec-what-happens-when-you-call-bob/

onward thru the fog. Vote for Bob.

I finally emailed Bob tonight. Thanks for the encouragement NavyWife :)

Yay!

All the credit goes to asknod For bringing this to our attention. Thanks asknod!

By the way, I hemmed & hawed for weeks on whether or not to send the email, And finally I decided that well if you send the email and nothing happens, then you're just in the same place as before you sent the email, with nothing happening. At least by sending the email we are being proactive on our claims and giving ourselves a better chance of getting eyeballs on our claim. There's no guarantee we will get the answer we want --but getting eyeballs on the claim is half the battle.

Good luck with email the head honcho about bad service you got at VA. While this may actually work some of the time, what about those disgruntled employee's who say,

"Ok, you want progress on YOUR claim. Very well, here is what you get for complaining to my boss": (As he throws your claim in the shredder bin along with yesterday's whopper wrapper.)

I do think that its a good idea..now sending your evidence to just 2 places in the country, where, its apparently logged in and scanned in.

This prevents disgruntled employees from shredding your evidence. Now, they will need to use the "delete" key instead of carrying your file all the way to the shredder bin, so it will be faster.

IF (and this is a big if), the VA has some checks and balances, then someone may get in trouble for "deleting" Vets evidence, but, since they get away with other stuff, why should they not also get away with that?

broncovet, your a downer, I was ask to let them know DC that is what is being done and how did they handle my appeal and request.. I would give you my McDonald staff helpers name but let say she is helping me and others. Take that chip off your shoulder there are many good VA staff people that would help. I will let you all know how everything works out, but so far after five years someone is seeing we get responses.

I'm not saying you're wrong but this is the same type of advice I got from the VFW after my initial decision came through 10 years ago. Don't make any waves, be grateful that they "gave" you what you got, etc. I don't give into the fear mongering anymore and could care less who's tree I rattle. If they did a thorough, competent job in the first place this wouldn't be an issue. But there are countless piece of shit federal employees who screw veterans out of benefits that are well deserved and they should be held accountable.

They already do this and if they don't like it I would email Bob again this man is

trying to do right for the veterans every claim don't need to be address by Bob but

a long delay on appeals 4-5 years needs Bob attention. As long as you don't complain

nothing will be done. Bob can also fire heads of VA now and they better be on their pees an cues

it never a better time to complain than now. jmho
