Copays And Very Trickey Process Repay Va
http://www.va.gov/he...ce_brochure.pdf Hello All, Please read the above first. I would like to alert our Veterans and their Dependents to a problem that is happening not just to me , but many Veterans. I would also like to hear from some of you on your thoughts if you ever got your copays refunded to you once you became 50% or more, or when you hit the 100% SC mark. So first lets put the program out there so the Veteran can see how he can quickley get in trouble and have his copays TAKEN OUT OF HIS DISABILITY CHECK if under 50% SC. This is really sick also. Here some scenarios that can happen and have happened to me. If a Veteran under 50% SC decides…

Determing Effective Date For Re-Opened Claim
How is the effective date determined on a denied claim that was re-opened by the VA? The initial claim dates back to 1973, but the VA kept denying that I was injured in the Military, even with clear evidence that I did get hurt. Tried several times, but would always get denied. Now, they re-open this claim since they finally looked at the evidence that has always been there. In fact, I mailed it to them several times. Since, I did not re-open the claim, and the VA did, would this impact the effective date? Any WAGs on what the effective date might be? Papa

ptsd Had It Calculator
Ok just asking here, but here goes. I am rated at 50% now and if I get a rating of 30% for PTSD that will put it to 65 by the calculator on here, so would that be rounded up to 70%. But if I get 50% on PTSD and 50% that I have that will go to 75% will that go up to 80%. I know it is rounded up or down. Thanks for the help.

What Should I Do Now That I Am Closed
i am in a closed status as of yesterday. I am happy/sad/nervous. i see no AB8 letter to generate (it may be to early) and epeggy has not been able to supply any information at all concerning my denial/award. Is it too early to ask for copies of my medical records and all c & p 's performed? Should I just sit and wait patiently? For some reason (RDAWG) i do believe that I have been denied. I have not had treatment on my shoulders in 14 years but as soon as my claim started treatment did begin and is still ongoing. Should I worry about this?

Still Have Not Received Cola But ?
I am still waiting on my COLA Adjustment but I got a letter yesterday and it stated "Cost of Living Adjustments as authorized by Congress are generally updated automatically within our systems. Unfortunately, there are instances when not every claimant's records are properly updated and the changes must be completed manually. We referred your case to a supervisor to have the Dececember 1, 2011 COLA adjustment completed on a priority basis. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced while we work toward completing your claim, however, our claim processing priority must rest with completing disability claims with ancillary adjustments made based on our p…

Active Rating Vs Pulled By Rater
OK were told 6th Sept 2012 C-File sent to Active Rating and waiting for a decision...waiting...waiting...called VSO twice and told yep "waiting for a decision." So finally today called VSO and told yes C-File was sent to Active Rating and got pulled out 16th October 2012...What? Where did it get pulled too? So VSO says let me clarify: C-File was sent to active rating and basically it is an area where it sits waiting for a rater to pick it up and sits with many others waiting their turn. OK and now? Well it was pulled out of that area for an Active Rating by a Rater to determine now, or at least in the very near future however it sits on the desk of that rater to m…

Received A Survey By Jd Powers & Associates Concering Adapted Housing Grant
Did anyone else receive a survey to complete concering their adapted housing grant... I got one a few days ago.. but I am reluctant to complete it.. Most of the questions concern how well the claim was processed...and how long it took to get the work done... It really doesn't address the fact that there is not enough funds to actually do all that needs to be done when preparing a home for a wheel chair user.... anyone did you goet one .. did you fil it out... what is your opinion if you got one....

Question About Bva Decisions
I know that BVA decisions only apply to the vet that in the decision.I'm a Air Force Thailand vet that was assigned to Korat RTAFB and worked on the perimeter of Camp Friendship which was adjsent to Korat. This spring a vet who was at Korat at the same time I was and worked in the same building on the perimeter of Camp Friendship granting him service connection for DMII due to exposure to herbicides. My question is would it benefit me to submit a copy of the decision in support of my claim for DMII and IHD. Thanks for the help. Rick
