Those That Asked A Lawyer To Represent Them, How Long Did It Take For Them To Agree To Represent You?
Those that asked a lawyer to represent them, how Long did it take for them to agree to represent you? First of all most people know my story. I wil try to make this short and simple, if possible. I am rated at 50% from 1997. I am sick and am trying ot get the full 100%. I had a VSO for about 3 years, but decided to get a lawyer. (please no discussion on why.. that is in other threads..). I Contacted a well know Disabled Veteran Lawyer Firm, and the first step is that they get approval, from the Vet to get a copy of your Claims file, to see if they want to represent you, for your case. They then will exam your case to see at what stage your appeal is in. AN…

Psyciatric Help, For Being Sick, Off And On For 20 Years...
I have had psyciatric help, for being sick, off and on for 20 years... the VA has sent me for help, because being sick they often get worried I cannot cope with the continuing illness. Theya re right I have breakdowns often, and in private,. Though, while an in patient, for surgery, I had some breakdowns with cying, and the nurses would ask if I was ok... I am not sure if they saw the crying and put the epissodes in my notes. They make extensive notes on me.. 20 years ago, the doctors sent me for mental exams, because they thought i was emtnally ill, not knowing I had pancreatic disease... they blamed my being sick and in pain on mental illness.. I got very very tired …

Passing The Buck
I sent an iris request about a question I had about my recent decision. They responded in about a week saying my RO would be contacting me. About a week later I got an email from my RO telling me to find my local VSO & ask them any questions I have. I don't know why it always has to be so difficult ! Bob K

Statute Of Limitations
My husband was a Vietnam vet & passed away 10 yrs. ago. the hospital & doctors were baffled at what caused his death. Last yr.my benefits stopped as my son turned 16 & his death was not recorded as service connected. I pulled out a box of his paperwork that I started to read 10 yrs. ago but got too upset & put them away. I found specific evidence that it was the fault of the VA . I put in a claim for widow benefits & it is still in progress. ( I see no way they can deny them ) . My question is : is there a statute of limitations for a wrongful death suit ? It is written on there paperwork they were not to give him a certain drug because there could be…

Service-Disabled Veterans' Group Life Insurance (S-Dvi)
OK, bear with me. I have been offered the S-DVI again as I incurred another SC disability recently. And now I am receiving a VA disability check. And this insurance can be taken out automatically. Which is a biggie for me, as I am usually late (never have not payed) for every payment except direct withdrawls. Someday everything I have will be direct withdrawl. So, with that said, what are any pitfalls if any, of this insurance, excluding cost. I know there are better deals out there, however, that is not my question. Do they have any exclusions, i.e., suicide, get killed at work, etc, etc.? Do they pay fast or is it another VA nitemare? Any experience? …

Pva Or Dav For Claim
who is the less owned by VA? regarding my claims for MS and MS secondary issues and spinal injury and related issues, there's no question the VA is doing as little as possible and tossing me bread crumbs and dog bones hoping this will go away. i'm on my 3rd PVA NSO in as many years regarding all this. and of course he says the same as all the others, like he's "going to do all this super work that should have been done years ago" there is no question in my mind the VA can and does tell the PVA NSO's "what day it is" regarding some claims. what experiences have some of had with getting fed up with your NSO service and jumping ship to another SO? how ne…

tdiu Va Proposed Decrease Due To Cue
I have 2 issues on appeal since 2008 and an NOD/DRO review on my claim for headaches from last year, so what do I get in the mail yesterday? A letter from the VA stating that they made a CUE when they granted me Cervical Radiculopathy last year. It looks like they are saying it is basically the same thing as my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome! It says that it considers the Cervical Radiculopathy as pyramiding on my Carpal Tunnel. I think they are saying my symptoms are the same. This is redicilous! I have pain and numbness in my shoulders that radiate down my arms. I have neck pain and headaches from it. I don't think that would be caused by Carpal Tunnel. I know I need to re…

How To Get My Gerd, Gastritis, Gastric Ulcer, Chronic Diahrrea Increased From 20%
I recently got rated for these conditions, they grouped it but broke it down for each condition. I dont understand how they can get away with 20% rating. Gastritis came back non comp, gerd 10%, chronic diahrrea 10%, ulcer 10%. The severity is much worse than examiner made it out to be I explained this to them, when I drew progress notes from exam, they didnt like that. These conditions are secondary to migraines NSAIDS they give me every month lol. I got service connection great but not good enough for me, I am currently at 90% from 80%. These conditions go back to 1998. Should I go to my private doc and have her fill questionnaires for conditions? I think I should have c…
