Usaf Jet Mech With Bad Knees
Hi All, I was a Jet Mech in USAF from 1970 thru 1978. Worked flightline and trim pad on F4s for four years and have pain(7-8) in both knees all the time. I believe this pain was caused by working under F4's on my knees as there was no such thing as PPE back then. I have reported this pain for nearly 10 years whenever I am at the VA Hospital. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and submitted a claim. Any help is appreciated...

Claims Timeline With Attorneys On The Case.
Got rated and comp back pay (???) in Dec of 2010...final rating was 20% (OMG) for Ishemic Heart Disease (IHD) due to AO exposure. Had a triple bypass in 2005. Also, I was already drawing 10% for an in the Army injury. I promptly contacted a law firm and the took my case in Fed of 2011andnthey said they could get closer to 100% since I am totally unable to work. Have not had a lot of interaction other than passing some forms from VA back and forth. I was told at one point by an assistant that I may have a Fed 2012 court date but can't find it on the Appeals court docket. Anybody got any advise??How long with a lawyer does/can this take. Got a letter from NVLSV(?)…

hypertension New Ailment Found During C&p Exam
During a recent C&P exam for my initial claim I was found to have Hypertension. This was news to me and I am glad that I am aware of it but it wasn’t one of my original contentions. Is this something that the VA will add into my claim this time around or will I have to wait until the dust settles on my initial claim and then file a new claim with this new ailment? I am still under a year out from retiring. I do have a claim in for Anxiety, would the fact that I now have Hypertension strengthen that claim or maybe be secondary to it? I appreciate any guidance on this, Thank you.

Red Star Report
I don't know if it is my VAMC or the New VA that has my health on ignore! The other day I asked in a thread if anyone knew about the Red Star Report. I had ordered some CD copies of some xrays I never heard about the results from. When I got the Radiologist report there I found the words capitalized RED STAR REPORT. It is what use to be called a medical red flag when something is found to be wrong. Some growths were found on whats left of my thyroid. Half was removed in 99 with growths on it.Three years since this report and no one has said anything. So I raised hell with my medical team today about that and why I hadn't received any report on my CT done on the 12th.I kne…

Home Improvements And Structural Alterations (Hisa)
My father was 100% SC for over 20 years. When he died the VA said that his disabilities were part of the reason for his death so my mother was given his disability compensation as DIC. My mother recently received a letter from the VA telling her about the Home Improvements and Structural Alterations (HISA) I cannot find anywhere on the internet about dependents receiving DIC getting HISA. Does anyone have any information on this? Thanks.
