Meniere's Disease
I have seen a few blogs on different sites regarding Meniere's Disease and SC; however I am still trying to get a better understanding from fellow Veterans who may be experiencing the same. I am SC 20% for hearing loss and 10% for tinnitus. I have severe pulsatile tinnitus (constant ringing in ears head), regular tinnitus that is periodical and temporary on a daily basis, headaches, sinus aches, vertigo and staggering. My VA PCP told me that I have Miniere's Disease and I have set up appointments with a private ENT/Audiology Dr. and the VA Audiologist as I need a more precise diagnosis on the Meniere's. Has anyone filed a new claim for Meniere's Disease after they hav…

Just wanting to know if anybody here that has Cervical DDD and DJD with radiculopathy also have a ringing in either ear with tingling wrapping around from the neck to the cheek? For 3-4 months my left arm and shoulder was in severe pain and after I finally took a trip to my local ER and given a couple of injections I now have this awful ringing in my left ear and tingling that wraps around from my neck to my left cheek. Yes I have Spondylosis which is both DDD and DJD. Just curious how many folks here have this and what do you do to treat it?

lumbosacral Recently separated - dealing with disc bulge issues & VA next
Hi, I’ve been recently separated as a USAF Captain from active duty due to reduction in force, and I am new to this realm. (I was not medically separated.) I’d sure appreciate some advice. Background While on active duty, I suffered a bulging disc and had a lot of left hip discomfort after some long runs at the unit’s physical training sessions. They called it piriformis syndrome and gave me physical therapy sessions at the base clinic, muscle relaxers, & some pain killers. I’ve long had an issue with my low back which have been well documented throughout my career, and have paid for a chiropractic care out of my own pocket (Tricare does not cover chiropractor) for…

I can't even bench press half my weight with out it pinching and hurting enough to make me about drop the weight. They denied my increase, what more can I do to receive proper diagnosis and care? The doctors seem to brush me off, I seen a chiro for approximately six months and I am una…

VA Disability for Depression?
So here it is going on 4 years since I was honorably discharged from the military. Since I have been out, I seem to hit these depressing slumps of missing the military, wishing I could go back in (unable to go back in on account of a medical issue), having adjustment issues to not having the structure in my life as well as I am always "military minded" about how I deal with stress, people, other issues. I expect everyone have the same mentality from my family to my friends. I was treated once for anger issues while in the military, but this depression crap has me completely off the wall at times. I lose control when people make simple mistakes as well as ask me what I con…

Cervical Issues
I have a question for people who has Cervical Radiculopathy. For the past few months I have been having severe pain going down the base of my neck into my shoulder into the back of my left arm into my forearm. The pain is a shooting pain, severe pain and burning pain. I also have been having muscle spasms next to my shoulder blade. I notice that whenever I tilt my head backwards I can really feel the shooting pain. For the past week I've been getting the pain in my right arm, not as bad as my left arm, but the symptoms are pretty much the same. Whenever I sit down, it does not matter where I sit, the pain gets worse in my left arm so I have to lay down for a bit before I …

Claim completion date changed?
I talked to a VA Rep over Chat and this is what he wrote... Your claim is in the decision phase. If no additional information is needed, we will prepare a decision on your claimWhen I went back into Ebenefits, it no longer show a completion date and is still showing "Gathering evidence"? Ebenefit also show past due documentation but my VA Rep and VSO said there wasn't any past due documentation needed? Anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance!

Not sure what to do
I have been looking at a lot of posts and have a couple questions, First I have been diagnosed by the VA with CFS and IBS, this happened about 20 years ago, at that time I went through phase 1 and phase 2 of the gulf war registry exams, I was asked to go to Walter Reed hospital for more testing but could not do to income or lack of. I filed a claim at that time and it was denied as not being service connected. I don't always have the money to go to a doctor and usually it doesn't help. I have recently started to refill my claim because these are considered presumptive. I have many other issues I am filing with these. My question is do I even stand a chance of getting app…

VA Doc keeps telling me to Claim for more Benefits
I am at 30% Disability right now. I tore my ACL on active duty and I have my medical records and my medical review board from 93, They operated on it while I was active Duty. I went in for my yearly annual and the VA discovered that the knee operated on by the Navy is rubbing bone on bone. The VA doc told me to claim for an increase, he said I should be getting 70%. The VA turned down the last one I sent in. He said I should do this again. The VA said they are ready to operate TODAY if I wanted it. All That said I am in constant pain from my knee. Should I re-claim again? Even if the VA Doc and the VA surgeon are supporting me on this? Thanks!

VA Disability, Sarcoidosis & Agent Orange
Hey, I am new to the forum and in the beginning of a VA Claim for Pulmonary Sarcoidosis from Agent Orange. Those of you that have been successful on linking the two and getting a VA Disability, I was wondering how you linked the two. The VA is asking for scientific or Medical info linking the two from me. I am going to try and get my pulm and arthitis doc(he administers Remicade to me for the sarc) to write a letter, but I am not sure that will be enough. Can any of you share with me how you linked the two?

hypertension hypertension and nephritis end stage renal failure
My name is tj I enlisted in the military as a junior in high school. The military was always my career goal. I also got 2 of my buddies to join which boosted my rank to E2 I also had enough college credits to get ranked E3 before basics. I passed a health physical for high school football and august of 1999 I started basics in great lakes, IL. While in basics I was scheduled for a routine dentist appointment and I was found to have a very high bp around 190/120 and was asked if I had a history of high bp for which I never had. I was asked to immediately see the medic for which bp pills were prescribed and follow up next day. Next day same thing bp still elevated. I was th…
