This is where to post those questions. it's OK, if you are feeling confused this is not at all unusual it can be a very confusing system. If you were injured in service and have a question about whether you are entitled to file a claim, post it here. Law 38C.F.R.3.4 (a)

tdiu Granted Tdiu
hello, I know I'm new here but I just wanted to let everyone know I was granted TDIU. I got the big brown envelope last Friday. I put in my TDIU claim last June after i was approved for social security. man, this took 8 long months. The VA moves so slow. It says I have chapter 35 benefits. What is this and does this mean anything? the letter also says I have "no future exams." Is this good? What other benefits do I have and how much will I get every month with TDIU? should I appeal for higher rating? thanks

Here's the real problem....while going over my records the nusre said "your Diabetes is not service comnected. Sure enough thats what it said on records. Feedback On Word Speclative
I am confused about the word "speclative at best to separate". Need feedback MORE THAN ONE MENTAL DISORDER: The following is accurate for this veteran: More than one disorder was diagnosed. If more than on Disorder was diagnosed, explain the relationship of symptom of the two or more conditions and their relationship to Veteran's Military Service time. If this can't be done, please state this and explain. He has been diagnosed with anxiety disorder since VN and it is therefor more likely than not related to his military service. In terms of his depression, which appears on this interview to be his primary difficulty it is speclative at best to separate this from his …

ptsd C&p Exam Report
These are the results from my recent PTSD C&P. I know GAF scores alone don't determine a rating, but along with the examiners's note --what are my chances? I know its only speculating, but what type of rating do you think I might receive based on these C&P results? EDIT: IMPRESSION: AXIS I: PTSD, Chronic, Depressive Disorder NOS AXIS II: No diagnosis. AXIS III: Sleep disturbances, Obesity, dental caries, elevated Liver enzymes, lichen planus, elevated blood pressure. AXIS IV: Marital stress, financial stress. AXIS V: Global assessment of function 50. DISCUSSION: The claims file was reviewed and meets the DSM-IV criteria for PTSD due to his service s…

Chronic Ethmoidal Sinusitis
Hi guys, This didn't make too much sense to me so maybe someone can give me some insight. While I was an Army Recruiter in 2008, I had to see a civilian nose doctor (as a recruiter, there were no military hospitals around and we were authorized the use of civilians). He diagnosed me with chronic ethmoidal sinusitis. However, my claim for sinusitis was denied. Is the VA looking for something in particular or is this something that I should appeal? Thanks for all of the help! Brad

Time Length
Not sure where this question should be posted. I am wife of Vet. My husband filed claim in Dec. 09 for C & P. Put everything asked for in nice binder, all reports from hosp., Dr.s etc. He had C & P exam in January. DAV has not asked for anything else. My husband call DAV beginning of March to ask for status of claim. He was told that DAV was waiting for information from the nat records center. He called last week and ask the status, was told that DAV had not made a decision yet. Normally what is the length of time when VA has no questions for the Vet on whether or not he would receive some type of rating if any. Should he wait 3 months or 6 months befor…

diabetes New Diagnosis For Major Depressvie Disorder
I am currently rated at 60%. I was seeking increase for my anxiety disorder which is 40% and 20% for diabetes. At my c&p exam Saturday, I was diagnosed with MDD. I am thinking this is a good thing for my increase. Is MDD a increase in the severity of anxiety or because it is a new diagnosis, will it end up in a seperate category for disability? Also your thoughts on the likelyhood of an increase?

ptsd Awaiting Rating Decision
I went to the RO today to get a claim update for my PTSD and right knee increase. The lady turned the screen around to me so I could see and the huge words "Awaiting Rating Decision" jumped out at me. I haven't even had a C&P for my claim of PTSD yet. I guess they don't need one. I do have a PTSD diagnosis and I signed a release for them to get my Vet Center notes. I think I may have to NOD a low-ball rating. We'll see. :)

Dependents And Pay
Today i was learned my step daughter was added to the ChampVa they said the card is in the mail and she already has her dependent ID, i called Winston Salem to ask if she was added to my disability pay, Nope not yet still pending ? seems odd but they claim they work from two different sets of rules? its back dated on her card and my wifes to march 25 2009, So i am not sure but seems like they would back pay me for her once shes added ? None of the whole process seems to follow any special route ryme or reason. So i guess only time will tell what the local office decides >
