diabetes Question About Foot Pains And Diabetes
Hello everyone, I am new to this site but I have to tell you I am very impressed with the depth of knowledge being shared here. Thank you all for that. I know this issue isn't AO related, but I know a lot of AO vets due have DM so I am hoping to find someone her to answer a question. If I am in the wrong I apologize in advance. Here is a little background on me. I am service connected for DMII, diagnosed in 2005 during my Army retirement physical. Over the past year I have been having a lot of pain in my fingers and toes. I don't really have any numbness or much tingling. I get the pains usually in my big toes and index fingers and it kind of shoots up through the …

Autonomic Neuropathy & Dm2
I am currently SC 20% for dm2 and 10% for each limb for PN. My question is that my doc just told me that I probably have autonomic neuropathy which is causing my GERD. Is autonomic neuropathy a rateable condition as secondary to dm2? I am thinking that this may be a round about way to get my GERD service connected. Any information would be appreciated!

diabetes Diabetes Secondary Rejected
B) I got back my decision for Diabetes and it was denied. The reason was that I did not show it in my medical records. When, I submitted my claim I thought that I had given the VA access to ALL my medical records. I thought that since I was tested positive for Diabetes and most diffently in a AO zone, this would be a no brainer. WRONG! The VA only looked at my records through 1982! So, if they want to deny a claim, all they need to do is go back far enough and waalaa :P . Now, I will need to do a NOD. Papa

Thailand Exposure
Hi all, Our legal clinic is representing a USAF veteran who was stationed at U-Tapao from 1968-1969. He is suffering from several conditions which have been linked to Agent Orange. Without documentary documentary evidence of physical presence in Vietnam, he has been unable to benefit from presumptive service connection. We are working with him to develop two potential courses of action to connect his claim to AO exposure: 1) ACTUAL EXPOSURE IN THAILAND. Our client's duties involved transporting supplies throughout Thailand, and he describes several occasions where he handled barrels that match the description of AO. According to the client, those barrels req…

Japan's Dirty Secret
Japan's Dirty Secret As deadly toxins poison the environment, the government is doing its best to avoid the issue By DONALD MACINTYRE AND HIROKO TASHIRO/TOKYO http://www.time.com/time/archive/preview/0,10987,1107000529-46991,00.html May. 29, 2000 Keiko Saito wasn't concerned when a plastic-waste compacting plant opened down the street from her house in Suginami, a well-to-do Tokyo suburb. After all, the government had reassured residents that the neatly landscaped facility posed no danger. But soon after the plant started running four years ago, Saito's breasts began swelling painfully, as if she were pregnant. Her testosterone level shot through the…
