Could use some advice. 11 year appeal
I have had an ongoing appeal for the last 11 years with the VA regarding a mental health claim. It has went to the BVA three times and been sent back for more development each time. The most recent action was a letter in the mail that states LHI will be doing an mental health evaluation. I have done similar things two other times where I interviewed in person. It appears that this one will be done via records. I sent in a statement a few days ago to the BVA using the ID.me portal regarding my claim prior to getting this letter today. Will this psychologist see this statement? Do I need to send it to the compensation people as well? It is critical to my argument of se…

Questions on DIC
Trying to help a spouse who was separated from her 100% P&T husband, for 10.5yrs, at time of his death. Never divorced as reconciliation was a consideration. They paid her his final check but then denied her DIC. He died in early 2020 at a VA contracted nursing home in FL. VA never notified her of his death. Also tried to look up m21-1 but found the VA may have discontinued it?????? Thx

Just starting Disability claim from first denial response
I am new here and new to both requesting a disability rating as well as receiving a denial letter from the VA. Any help and advice is needed and appreciated. The VA letter agreed that the issues with my back were documented during my service (Army 1978-1981) and that I can now show severe damage to two locations of my spine. I've had no injuries or accidents since leaving the Military and employment was office related type work. The reason stated for denial was that the examining Physician "opined" that he did not see evidence of "continuity" of injury. In other words, I don't have documentation of my visits to Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, …

VA regional office refused to pay and I appealed it to the BVA where claim was granted in 02/2022 Question: I haven't received any reimbursement or correspondence from AOJ which is Bay Pines, FL. Has anyone here ever had this kind of claim? Peggy can't give me any info and I'm wondering if my atty can find any info in VBMS?
