It took me start to finish about 12 months to get 100% compensated and 18 months to get 100% P&T. Every two weeks I would call the 1-800 number and waited and waited, but findly get someone to come on the line and I would not let them go until they got me someone to give me answer of my status. If was not happy with the information I would ask very nice" please I need help and is there anybody else that can help"! I hate the 1-800 number, but it was the only choice to talk to a person at VA. My VSO was a joke, they were hit and miss.

Carlie, Thank you for carify, but they did not ask for divorce papers and since she had SS card they did not require Birth certificate.

Kray, when you filed 21-868c, you have to file a copy of your wife SS card and a letter from the SS office that proving she is who she is!! That's what they required from me and it was about 8 months to get back pay to the orginal date of filing!

GeorgiaPapa, PN is a hard to judge, but when I went into my first C&P" it was a Joke" , but they gave me 20% both legs. Then I to a Neurologist for EMG and nerve study and sent that directly to VA with a letter from the Doctor of my condition. The Neurologist doctor test upper and lower body. The VA follew up with another C&P test and this test was basic a test like yours. The person had no clue on what they were doing, but they did notice my left leg was smaller and and shorter. VA came back with 60% left side and 40% right called Paraylsis of the Sciatic nerve or PN, with 10% for both hands. I think making sure that my Neruologist report got to VA direct was that got the job done. You need to go back and NOT give up. I live in pain all the time, so I feel your pain. It sound like with your walking condition is the same as mind, dragging your feet, tripping, I trip twice last week and me and concrete don't work! I'm pretty sure that PN can only secondary to another condition and not primary YET. It should be primary because I had this the PN along time before my DMII.

Papa , I would not touch any of your claim's. You cancel one they might cancel all of your claim's As you VA works in many different worldS.

VetwifeIndy, I got P&T 01/02/2012 and had ChampVA for my wife 02/01/2012 and you have to call them for your presciption card, and they were very nice to work with. Remember you can go back to the date you or husband file for this conditions to get P&T and get all the co-pays for medical and medicine. My Wife got a sweet check!!! You have 6 months from the day you get your ChampVA to file for this. You can ask them how file for this! God bless!

Georgiapapa, Back in 04/2010 I filed for the AO for PC, DMII only. VA had seem from medical records that I had IHD and at 12/2010 I got 10% for secondary to DMII. On 04/2011 I got compensated for AO for PC, DMII, and long with PN in both legs secondary to DMII and Lypmh Node cancer The answer I think is to file for the IHD, because you will probably get some form of compensation earlier while the other conditions grind thru the VA machine. Later I got all the other conditions on 12/2011 and P&T 100% on 01/2012

Georgiapapa, My conditions is simular to your's. Most of the time in the day time. if I was at rest my chest would start to have sharp pain in the center of my chest. If I was moving around It was less. At night time in the mid of the night it would increase. Of course I have Hot Flashes from the cancer medicine, so it is hard to tell about sweating??? The EKG's mostly - only work if you have heart damage and as long you are getting some blood to that part of your heart like in my case 85% bockage the EKG won't show a problem.

The first of this last July, I started having chest pains. The pain was constantly moving around from the front to my back and into neck. It was't a stronge pain ,but I knew that it was the on coming of a blockage. Since this was not my first rodeo, I called my heart doc. and we did the normal EKG, Stress test, all the tests. My heart look great, the pain continued and got worst, so I went to the local Pharmacy and told them that my Heart doc want me to have Nitro. They gave a small bottle and when I had my next attack, i knew! Since I had two stents already, I knew what to look for and went to my Heart hospital. Sure enough 85 % blockage. Sometimes you got to lisen to your body! I know at least one friend that did not, God rest this soul!!

The 800 # has always or should I say for the most part. They were able to help a long with HADIT to the brown letter! Good luck! God bless!!!

Viper, It took me about 8-9 months to finish and get my back pay. I notice you did not mention a copy of social security card and the letter of from the SS that it proves that it is your wife social security number. That was what they made me do???

Maset22, It sound like you been there and back in life, and it looks like you have defeated a lot of them damn devil. With every corner in my life i worry now, but I get around that corner and there sunshine. You have a happiness in your home, got your dog and smell the roses! Sounds pretty good to me!! I found that the direct deposit is better for the months that end on a weekends. You might not get your check in the mail until Monday. The direct deposit comes in on Friday.

Snookster, On SSDI it took about 6 months to get approval and then another 6 weeks to get the money and its back dated differently for each case. I have heard of some getting it faster. Good Luck and injoy life!

Celia, Yes February of 1971 to February 1972 at Camp Eagle and Marble Mountain Da Nang. Rockman was leaving and I was coming and counting the days. I to have heart problems, just three weeks ago had another stent put in. Still having some pain and they want to see if they miss something. Oh by the way there is a book I read everyday call "Jesus Calling" , It is a daily devotions for every day of the year!
