  1. Congratulations!!! All the best to you and your family!! Thank you for your service!!
  2. I think you should file for the TDIU....If you are leaving your job because of the stress and anxiety or anything else that is related to your service connected MST and/or any other issues that you are rated for, then yes I believe you should apply. However, just a piece of advice....I wouldn't just say you are retiring but that you are leaving your job because of your service connected issues. IU is for Veterans who cannot maintain employment because of service related issues and you should receive it because you can no longer be gainfully employed because of those issues, so you are losing income because of those issues and should therefore be compensated. Its because of those service related issues what retirement pay you get will be lower, your social security will be lower and if you have any kind of employer matched 401k, that will be lower and because of this and other things I don't know you should get compensation.

I have a 70% PTSD rating and I am TDIU. When I was younger I could work and suffer through what was going on in m,y head and Its not easy and you pay a professional price, but most importantly a personal price and there comes a time when you become overwhelmed and you just can't do it anymore.

I got a certified VA rep to help me with my claim. She is very good and knows what she is doing and made my claim less stressful. She would get 20% of any retro pay, but for me not having the stress and anxiety involved with the claim was worth it. I'm not recommending her because I would get a cut...I won't and I don't want it. I am just a vet helping another vet.

If you want her name and number, you could at the very least talk to her and she would advise you if you have a claim that can be won. Just let message me and if you want her name and number I will provide it.

All the best and if you need to talk just let me know.

    Greg

  3. Your letter will still show you as rated 80%, but are being paid at the 100% rate due to unemployability. It will also indicate whether they rated you as Total and Permanent.
  4. Congratulations!! Thank you for your service!! All the best to you and your family!!
  5. This is a new claim and can be submitted online. Be sure to send all supporting evidence as well. Give them everything they need to make a decision. All the best on this new claim. Its time to be patient again!!
  6. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! All the best and be sure and check your state benefits... Take care....
  7. VSO's do Not get any of your retro pay, but if you hire a "representative to help you with your claim...not a lawyer, they do get 20% of your retro. I used a rep and for me it was well worth the money. If you go on the VA web site, they have a list of authorized reps...which is where I found mine from the Boston area and it should tell you that they won't get more than 20%. If you have a NOD and hire a lawyer they are not supposed to get more than 20% of retro either. However a lawyer may find a way to get more, but some will probably stick to the 20% plus fees if there are any. I liked my rep and would recommend them to anyone that needs one and if the time comes again to do another claim I would use her again!! Again..to me it was well worth the money. All the best!!
  8. Congratulations on your win!!! All the best to you and your family!! Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year!!
  9. Congratulations on your award!! Also, if you have not done so....check into your state Veteran benefits that are available. Most states offer property tax relief even at the 0% level among other benefits that do not require a 100% rating. If you do one day make it to 100% thats a whole different level of benefits from Federal-State and local governments. All the best to you and your family!! Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!
