Under 38 cfr 3.307(3) is a chronic disease any disease that manifests within one year to. Compensable degree, or is it just 3.309(a)? Just curious. I have had liver problems (elevated LFT's) And bilirubin have been high. Had ten units of blood 6mos after service. (3) Chronic disease. The disease must have become manifest to a degree of 10 percent or more within 1 year (for Hansen's disease (leprosy) and tuberculosis, within 3 years; multiple sclerosis, within 7 years) from the date of separation from service as specified in paragraph (a)(2) of this section.

Confused On 100% Post Surgery
My question concerns the process for receiving 100% compensation post surgery. I filed my AO claim prostate cancer in May of 2011. This is my first disability claim. I had surgery to remove prostate in August 2011. I sent the VA all the doctor reports relative to the surgery during the latter part of August. I had C & P exams in September and October of 2011. C & P noted the fact I did have the surgery. My question is am I required to file a separate claim to be compensated at 100% following the last treatment for the prostate removal surgery [or will the VA note that the surgery was perform and automatically compensate me for the six months following treatment]? …

tdiu Work And Tdiu
Hi everyone :) I'll get to the point with my question. My monthly income is now $2673 + SSDI. If I try to work part-time, will my VA income will be halved to $1228 or less? If my working didn't pan out, it would be a personal financial credit meltdown, with other fallout...that is a lot of money. I currently receive 70% SC with payment at TDIU for severe depression. I was awarded 70% SC and was convinced that if I could work again, it would be far, far in the future. So, I filed for TDIU with the DAV and got it, several years ago - after a long battle. My depression and anxiety got much worse lately, before and after I dropped out of school due to …

Copd And Sleep Apnea
I am approved 0% for COPD by the VA. I have Sleep Apnea using a CPAP machine since 2005. Sometimes I don't think straight due to my medications or old age. But today it dawned on me that there may be a connection. All research so far speak of them being overlaping syndrome. I was thinking maybe COPD caused my Sleep Apnea. That doesn't seem to be the case. Any comments would be appreciated. vet12
