ptsd Attached C&p Ptsd Results
I have attached my PTSD C&P results, would like some input on how you all think it looks. I had a friend at the VA tell me that he would have liked to see a lower GAF score, but told him that number can flucuate. The doctor also, connected my obsesity to my PTSD, which I thought was somewhat unususal. Any input would be appreciated. Papa

I Can't Believe This!
I am so tired of dealing with these people and their lies!!! I don't know what to believe anymore. I had a C&P back in August of last year and was told that my appeal was at the rater in October. I posted a copy of the C&P in this thread: Each time I have checked since then, I was always told that it was with the rater and to expect an answer soon. Yeah right I decided to call the #800 today just to check, and guess what? Now they tell me it has been sent back to review. After all these months and back to review! I see this as nothing but a stall tactic, because I'm eligible for a large retro. What frustrates me all to H*ll, is there is nothi…

ptsd Scheduled For A Case Review In Oct 2013
Hi y'all I have 70% PTSD and getting 80% combined service-connected evaluation but getting paid at a 100% due to IU for about 2 years already. I just received my annual summary of benefits and states the following: "You are not considered to be T&P disabled due to your service-connected disabilities at this time because your case is schedule for review in: OCT 2013." I would like to know 1. What can I do to get my case evaluated sooner? 2. Why are they scheduling this C&P so far in the future? 3.In the mean time, what is the most I can make working without negatively affecting my IU? Thanks a lot guys and girls! Garryowen!

Got Copy Of Report For Second C&p
I got a copy of my second C&P exam report from the local information office. The examiner did as they told me they were going to and endorsed my IMO recommending SC. However, the report mainly gave one word answers to the issue questions and did not include a GAF assessment score, which I thought was what the raters needed to determine extent of disability. Though I'm grateful for getting this far, the second report in my favor seems just as superficial and unprofessional as the one in April that was used to deny me. Possibly that will give greater weight to the IMO that the second examiner is endorsing? I am wondering if anyone knows how I can change my …

Had C&p On Dec2. Still Waiting On Files To Get To Ro
I had my C&P on 2 Dec and I called the 800 number the next week to check the status of my claim. The C&P results had been received but they told me they were waiting on my file to get back to them so the can review it. I called again today.. they said the same thing. I asked if taking 7 weeks for my file to make it back to them was excessive and they told me it has been a long time but not considered excessive. The RO is only 45 minutes away from where I had my C&P exam. And my C&P results made it within one week to them. Is 7 weeks for my file to show up excessive? I've heard stories of people's files turning up missing and I'm more than a …

ptsd Ptsd Cp Exam Results
I got both my results back today for my physical and PTSD. I'm really confused about the GAF score that she gave me. I was rated at 55 with a 30 percent, now she rated me at 50 GAF. My question is is this all the VA goes by, or do they read her entire report? According to the report I should not be allowed to go the the bathroom by my self. She clearly stated there is a connection between my PTSD and my eating disorder. She also stated that I suffered from severe depression and oppressive compulsive disorder. That I would not be able to function in a work enviroment. My thought is that they will look at only the GAF score and rate me accordingly, would I be clorrec…

ptsd No C&p Exam?
Trying not to read too much into it, but I'm really curious about this, and since it's the holiday, can't call our VARO to ask. We submitted a claim for multiple things for my husband in late November. He's been to 3 C&P exams, and in the letter they sent that was all they said he would go to. Those were for PTSD, knees and back, and hearing/tinnitus. We also submitted a claim for his heart (he has a defibrillator and has been diagnosed with ARVD) along with no less than 100 pages of medical records as proof. Because we've never been through this, I just thought they would do a C&P for his heart too. Since they aren't going to do one, is this a bad sign, o…

C&p Exam For Tinnitis&hearing This Week
I'm scheduled for a c&p exam this week for hearing loss & tinnitis, what can I expect? I have hearing aids issued by the VA and my last hearing test showed more hearing loss since my last visit. I also had testing done with a private DR who wrote a very nice letter, which the RO already has a copy. Stever

Early Warning Device (Letter)
Morning all, Had a C&P for a rating increase for my right shoulder and a SC for my neck (stiffness) and right arm (pain and numbness) on the 24th of September, 2010. My current rating is; 40% SC, shoulders (10 each), plantar fascitis (10) and tinnitus (10). 4 other issues were SC but at 0%. Discharged from active duty in August of 08. Date of original C&P exam was in May of 09. Today, I received the VA Pamphlet 29-9 with letter in the mail with 2 year eligibility starting (I had received this before when I received my original rating), Is this the "Early Warning Letter" that my increase or SC has been finalized? Should I be expecting a rating letter s…

C&p For Tinnitis & Hearing Loss
I was just notified by the RO to have an examination for my claim for hearing loss. I have been already examined for this as this in my VA medical file, I also was examined by a private DR who wrote a letter and I sent that with my claim. You would think that the va would have requested my medical file and seen that I have been going to the VA for annual check-ups. Now I will have to send the info into the RO. Is this standard practice? Stever

C & P Exam General Question
I received my notice today for another C&P exam, Two days ago I got my 100% award letter after waiting 23 months (the main disability is a back injury resulting in nerve damage). I am not sure why I am scheduled for another exam, this will be my fifth one since November 2008. Any one have anything similar happen to them or have any words of wisdom?
