Rating After C&p Exam
Do raters have access to and review the whole file, or do they just have access to and review the exam report? Thanks

They Now Want 2Nd C&p
My case was put into CVET fast track status by my rep on Monday due to a 4 month delay in processing which my rep said the regional office admitted was their error. I just got a call saying they wanted a 2nd C&P, the first was in February and resulted in a quick denial. I got a very good IMO by a former VA examiner and have additional proof of current disability from a state agency (the second state agency to recognize it). I know I have to agree to this or the case will be dismissed, but I am wary of another exam since the first was in my opinion very unprofessional and not thorough. I would like to just go in and emphasize the two findings of current disabil…

C&p Exam
Does the result of the C&P exam go in the VA medical record?

Just Had Second C&p Exam
I had a second exam yesterday after an initial denial in April and submission of an IMO in August. This examiner said I didn't have to convince him, I had submitted enough evidence, he was going to act as my advocate and concur with the IMO which was done by a former VA examiner. I did give him new evidence of current disability I received since the April denial. It only took twenty minutes. That is now 2 exams to 1. The first rating decision after the denial in April took two weeks. This one he said could take six months. Does a rating for an approval take longer than a denial? In any case I guess all I can do is wait now. This was put on a CVET fast t…

C&p For Migraines
Hi Everyone, I went out to Minneapolis today early early in the morning, on the slick ice on the highway, fun fun. I arrived at the VA very early, and was early for my appointment. The doctor seemed quiet, not as talkative as the last few C&P's I've had lately. He basically asked me how often I got headaches, what were the symptoms, and then checked out my reflexes and eyes. He asked what I did on my tour, and was taking notes the whole time. This C&P lasted about 10 minutes. 2 hours of driving out there in crap weather for a 10 minute C&P. This boggled my mind. I made a remark telling him that this was the fastest C&P I've ever had, and he just repl…

Knee Injury
Hello. I had a knee injury back in 2001 on active duty. I had a torn Meniscus/ACL tear. I had surgery and received 10% VA disibility from the VA for this condition. I had surgery again on the same knee in 2010 and the VA Dr. not only worked on my torn Meniscus/ACL again because the tear had gotten bigger through the years and plus the military left some debree around my knee cap which resulted in having arthritus in that area. Well he did some shaving of the bone which resulted with continuing pain after the surgery. The same Dr. has me is a ACL Metal Brace which I have been told I will be wearing this for a long time. I have completed my C&P exam for an increase …

C & P In Jan. Claim In Authorization Office
I had my original C & P in August of last year, and a secondary C & P in Jan of this year. I called the 1-800 number about my claim today to see what's happening with it. The gentleman I spoke with told me that it had gone through the rating board on April 24th, and that it had been in the authorization office since the 7th of May. He also said that I should hear from the VA anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks about a change to my compensation. Originally rated at 10%, but secondary C & P was much more thorough and I feel should result in an increase to about 50 or 60 %. This C & P was a result of a letter of disagreement I filled in October on last year. I g…

Service Connected Left Knee
Ok I received my temporary 100% for my left knee. due to surgery again. I was denied my increase for my left knee due to the fact that the VA states you can not get both. yes they said BOTH. I subbmitted two seperate claims one for the left knee for an increase, and one for the temporary 100% So my claim has been sitting out there for at least 9 months until I received my letter. Well some how the VA mirriored both as one claim which canceled the other one out. here's the kicker the letter states that I did receive and granted 10% increase for my left knee but it was taken back because the VA states that you can not have a percentage for disibility that is over 100%. Go f…

Retro Pay Overlooked
I have received a response concerning the effective of date of disability award and compensation. I have another request for consideration of my earlier effective of the disability awarded for prostate cancer. I have been requested to give VA the dates of diagnoses and the date of being considered clear of any cancer. I don't have a problem with providing the information, but in the award letter I received in November the VA stated in the letter the dates of diagnoses, operation, and date of being declared cancer free. I know that I might be the sharpest knife in the draw, but maybe I am the dullest knife in the world. This seems to me such a waste of time and effort…

My C & P From The End Of Oct
It's been a while since I logged on here. I had a C & P on 30 Oct - a Saturday at 9:00. This was the 3rd change made to my exam, first they changed the doc, then the day, then back to the original doc, but on a Saturday at 9:00!!! I get there and the revolving door is not working, so I go in a side door. The joint is mostly dark too. The elevator took me up the 3 rd floor.... lots of dark lights. OK, this is the day before halloween, I was sort of laughing to myself at the irony. Turn out they had a power failure and were running on backup power/lights. My doc brings me into the exam room and we sit near the window. Instead of computer prompts, she read off…

Guys I just had a C&P exam for PTSD on the 17th of Nov that lasted over two hours and I was wondering if you all would look at it and give me your best guess at a rating I might get. Also if I do get rated for it should I file for TDIU as I have not been able to work for the last two yrs? How long does it take for them to give you a decision after the C&P? C&P PTSD.pdf
