UPDATE on our APPEAL
Hello Hadit friends! I am so excited! I logged into Vets.gov today and my husband's rating has finally changed. His migraine percentage was updated to 50% and overall rating to 70%. We have been waiting almost 14 months since the judge granted the increase on migraines. Thank you Jesus! I don't know how long we will have to wait on retro......but we are so happy to see this update!

Appeal Option
My original claim for OSA was started in 2012, I finally received BVA Award on 8/2018 for 50%. My original IMO, and DBQ (see attached) also listed several other items as secondary/aggravated by OSA. I submitted a claim for these issues along with the original nexus letter and DBQ, all were denied. The Dr. is currently doing a letter for each item. My question is do I resubmit it as an NOD with DRO review or request a hearing? Or are there other options? Thank you in advance for any info you can provide. Denial was received prior to Feb 19, 2019 VA OSA Redone.docx

Unwanted provisional diagnosis
I was diagnosed recently with some sleep disorders and anxiety issues through a private psych. Because i'm a vet I was administered a PTSD questionnaire. Now, I'm in no way claiming PTSD but a subclinical "provisional" diagnosis is on my sheet. If I submit a claim for mental health disorders will they make me go to a VA PTSD exam? My issues are sleeping and anxiety/depression.

Legacy, RAMP, AMP? where do I fit?
Hey all I have been out of here for a while dealing with issues and am now in a wheelchair from leg surgery which just happens to coincide with my latest C&P results finally showing up. Before this latest I was at 100% plus few miscellaneous 10 and 0 %'s. The situation is complicated and I need to figure out my options in light of the changes between the legacy system, ramp and AMP (?). The first hurdle, is my original award in 2013 did not show evidence they evaluated my OSA even though it was documented, diagnosed in May 2013 and should have been in my medical records by the time they did the award. VAMC New Orleans claims to have "lost" those records but…

AMA process
This is directed @Tbird and the other people who manage HADIT. Will there be a new section for AMA now that RAMP is closed? Things are kind of a jumble right now and as I am trying to find clarity on what lane I am "supposed" to file in, having a separate AMA section would be helpful. Thanks

DRO Hearing- Results/What to expect
Hi Everyone, I wanted to share my experience with having a informal DRO hearing and the results, so as to help you when you have your hearing. I had a DRO hearing March 21, 2016. It involved my lungs, back, spine area. My VSO got the results on June 22, 2018, and printed the VA rating Decision letter for me. I got everything I requested, and then some. I was give a rating for the scars on my back, sciatic nerve problems, both right and left leg, along with my lungs, back and spine. I received my Retro Pay on February 19, 2019, (it was over 50K) Nine different payments all on the same day, and I finally received my actual BBE from the V.A March 25, 2019. Som…

C&P exam on the 13th
So I am trying to give the BVA a clear picture of my disease. I have thought about marking my entire body to show where I have Lipomas (150 or so) with a circle and then a slash where I have had 120+ removed. I was thinking of doing this before going to the rater that morning or taking picture of it to submit. Any advice? Synonyms of Dercum’s Disease Adiposis Dolorosa Fatty Tissue Rheumatism Juxta-Articular Adiposis Dolorosa Lipomatosis Dolorosa Morbus Dercum's General Discussion Dercum's disease is an extremely rare disorder characterized by multiple, painful growths consisting of fatty tissue (lipomas). BVA Granted Appeals and Remand
My question is this, will the VARO implement the grant of service connection for headaches and award my increased rating and an earlier effective date first (which the judge stated to the RO) or will the VARO address my TDIU claim and the grants together? Which came first the chicken or the egg? Also, what is the shortest and longest time I can expect for grants and TDIU award/denial. I was just approved fully-favorable for SSDI in October 2018, so hopefully TDIU will be awarded as well. Thanks fellow Veterans... The BVA Judge stated "Take [the] necessary action to implement the grant of service connection for headaches and the award of increased rating and earlier e…

Update
So I have been trying to reschedule my C&P exam and my claim has been in gathering of evidence waiting for this exam. It has been almost a month and I checked today it is now pending decision approval. And the request looks closed. Without an exam. Not sure what they are up too.

Legacy Appeals Process Question
Looked at my actual VA Form 9 and there is no Hearing. It appears as though my Attorney chose Direct Review. My Appeal is with the DRO awaiting certification...is there going to be another De Novo review before my file is sent to the Board?

Legacy Appeals; Decisions Dispatched
Researching the VA Legacy Appeals bottleneck and have some information which might be helpful. I am in the Legacy Appeals program and I want to share whatever I have learned. According to Comprehensive Plan for Processing Legacy Appeals and Implementing the Modernized Appeals System Public Law 115-55, Section 3 the VA Board has dispatched 81,033 decisions in FY 2018. Do some basic math and there are 260 working days p/year so their output is about 311 decisions per working day. My Appeal is still at the RO and waiting on Certification. According to va.gov there are 110,742 Appeals ahead of mine, so, if I apply the math above, my Appeal should take about a year …
