WHAT IS A FAST LETTER
I am patiently waiting on the RO or the AMC to process my claim... I have been told that its at 1 of the 2 places. 4 months in now but 1 thing I keep seeing in different forums is the Fast Letter subject. Particularly Fast Letter 10 02. Can some one please explain to me what this is and what does it mean?

How To Respond to Ongoing Dishonesty Regarding VA Appeals
I'm so tired of fighting them. They know it. They lie. I'm sick of it. Here's my situation: I filed a claim several years ago now, and the VA closed it. They never notified me. They claimed they did and that I missed the window of appeal, but I contacted my senator and, guess what--the VA conceded that it had closed my claim without notifying me. They reopen the claim. I wait. They send me to an examiner. I wait. They grant me a rating and service connection for radiculopathy both legs, 10% each, but they give me a connection date of when they reopened the claim, not when I filed originally. The VA, in response to FOIA requests from a few years prior,, also then send…

[HELP] proposal to reduce + denied tdiu
I do not know what more I can do. I was denied tdiu and now they want to reduce my percentage. I am flagged by the VA as high risk, I take multiple medications (antidepressant, antipsychotic, anti-anxiety); recently my LCSW said that I could not work the way I am now. Do I ask her and my psychiatrist to write a letter stating this? They do not mention my ability to work in my online health records, so I believe that may be screwing me over. Do I ask for a hearing, or do I wait for the reexamination? Exam: http://imgur.com/a/x4bGfv1

Denial letter makes zero sense
Hi everyone. Thanks for all the great info on here. I recently go my denial letter for skin cancer and scarring on my face. In the denial letter the C&P examiner referenced an exam from 2005 and a mole on my back as being benign. There for the skin cancer on my head and face isn't service connected???? I have a tremendous amount of factual evidence and a very strong nexus letter from my surgeon. So i guess my question is what my appeal option should be when the denial letter explanation is so far off it doesn't even make sense? I can't even rationalize what they are trying to say because it is so far off base. It seems like the Higher level review option might be the …

Appeal question
Hi all! I originally filed for about eight things. I have received a decision on all but one. The last one was deferred. My question - can I appeal a decision on a couple conditions, even if I still have one claimed condition deferred? thank you!

tdiu Letter To Regional Office Regarding Missing Retro Payment
Hi, I was just hoping to get some feedback on a letter I am planning to submit to the Boston Regional Office on Tuesday. Here is some background information: The BVA awarded a partial grant of benefits last November and I am still waiting for the retro. On January 15, 2013, I went to the regional office for a status check and was told that my file was on the VSCM's desk awaiting his signature. (I am expecting over $25K in retro.) So he has had my file since at least this date and the delay continues. As I explain in my letter, I should have had the money by December 12, 2012. Anyway, here is the body of the letter: "The Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA) a…

Confused... Can someone help please
I was granted IU in April 19 after a hearing with the VLJ in Novemeber 18. 1 appeal was granted and 1 appeal was remanded. I still have heard nothing on the grant of IU but 2 days ago I called the DAV and they said that it looks like my case has gone to the AMC, Appeals Management Center. THis is where I am confused. Is only the remand at the AMC or is the grant also there??? From what I have researched it looks like only the remand goes to the AMC. Who will make the decision and do the paperwork on the grant? I emailed IRIS today to see if they could offer any insight into the grant and maybe a time line on where it is and how much longer... Anyone that has…

Sleep Apnea Denied-Secondary to PTSD
I looked at Ebenefits and saw I was denied, which I figured this would need to go to the BVA. My next question is as I have not had to wait for this is what is the process for doing remand instructions once my work as been done ( gone to the C&P and retrieved the records). So I had two claims in one is an appeal with the judges instructions for 2 conditions (appeal Dercum's and PTSD). The other was headaches and Sleep apnea a first step for these two issues. For the first two on appeal they have had all this information for 2+ months. It seems they are just dragging their feet as I saw what the DBQ said and it puts it at 60%, which in turn puts me at …

BVA Remand decision question
A lil background first. I've had an ongoing appeal with 5 medical issues since 2004. It was remanded and new c&ps were done 6 months ago. I got an award letter today for 1 of the 5 issues. The letter only addressed the 1 issue and did not make reference to the other 4. So my question is if that's normal? Will I be receiving separate letters for the other issues? Thanks in advance.

A Watched Pot Never Boils...
I'm not sure that PTSD includes obsessive behavior but watching Metrics and va.gov several times a day is not gonna get it anymore. As best as I can tell, my Appeal will take at least another 14 months or so to reach the Board. I just hope that others are able to maintain their sanity....The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and then expecting a different result...it's very difficult to wait them out. We have to believe that the people at VA are trying to work on the backlog and providing whatever service they can to those of us who have Served. I have to rest on that. I'm Praying for DRO Grant but I'm expecting my Appeal to be Ce…
