Average wait time for an expedited appeal decision once the judge receives it?
The BVA judge received my expedited appeal on March 9, 2018 but l have not received a decision yet. Vets.gov lists the wait time as 1-2 months but it's been almost 4 so I would really appreciate any feedback from those of you who have had yours expedited regarding wait time for a decision. I'm praying for all of my fellow brothers and sisters who are still fighting. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance for your help...God bless all of you and thank you for your service!

ptsd Remand from BVA to Regional Office
I recently received a letter from the BVA remanding an appeal to the St. Petersburg Regional Office. These action by the BVA were both confusing and frustration. An increase for PTSD and Individual Employability was remanded. BVA directed the RO to do the following: 1. The RO should review the record, including all evidence received since the most recent issue of sates of the case in XXX 2012 and XXX 2015. If any benefit sought on for which a notice of disagreement has been filed remains denied, the appellant and representative if any should be furnished a supplemental statement of case and given the opportunity to respond thereto. 2. Inasmu…

Conflicting information
Hi, I hope someone can clarify; I have read conflicting info about who to give new medical information to. I currently have a NOD. I have read: 1) turn the info in to your VSO, 2) hold on to the info until your meet with a DRO and then give the info to the DRO right then and there. If anyone has any thoughts, opinions, and/or advice it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. To Ms. Berta: I envy you about how you don't accept negativity. H

Converted over to RAMP; Is there a way to check status?
Before my husband switched his NOD over to RAMP, I was able to track the process on E-Benefits. Is there a way to track the process of RAMP appeals?

AMC topic
I know many people have had their claims lost at the blackhole AMC why not add it as a topic on the forum list. It’s technically not the BVA but Washington DC not physically located at the RO. But if it’s considered apart of the RO the outcomes I’m sure are similar as the fact they can’t approve much when the retro is over 25k. Can anyone tell me otherwise I decided to give the AMC a call directly? from an old post on here for the directors number at first they took my name number and email and said they would respond by email that was ten days ago. So I was getting annoyed with no answer so I called up my local senator who agreed with me and put in a congressional inqui…

DRO Review Timeline
Sorry if this has been addressed before, but I was not able to find an answer anywhere else. After collecting dust for 480 days after filing an NOD with a DRO, my appeal has apparently entered a "Review" phase. According to the VA rep, the electronic system had a new note entered into my file a few weeks back stating that a DRO had begun to review the file. Can anyone offer insight into how long it could take from here to get to a DRO decision? I understand it depends on what else the DRO has going on and how complicated my appeal is, just wanted to see what others' experience has been. Appreciate any feedback.

Claim Closed - But Still Have Questions
Hello everyone,I am currently rated 90% due to a plethora of issues (ugh). However, I have one rating of 60% for Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) which is a result of mixed connective tissue disease. Recently I filed a claim for an increase for ILD due to the usage of outpatient oxygen therapy and also for sleep apnea as a secondary to ILD. Long story short, the claim closed two-weeks ago and I was granted service connection for the sleep apnea as a secondary to ILD (but I will receive the 60% for the ILD because it's the higher of the two and pyramiding is not allowed). Additionally, the rating did not list any reference to the usage of outpatient oxygen therapy. How do I…

Received Denial. Next step?
Ok so quick catch up. Filed in November for the following: Migraines, TBI reopen, OSA (CPAP used) Just received denial on all parts stating not service connected. I have a current rating for PTSD and was told I should have filed the migraines secondary to PTSD. The Cfile shows that the medical opinion was that migraines are at least as likely as not worsened by my current PTSD. I do have a VA diagnose for the migraines and the OSA (CPAP was issued by the VA) I was thinking about filing for the DRO review and then getting a IMO/Nexus from Dr Anaise and attaching those as new information. But that can take about 2 years at my local VA (NYC) If not t…

BVA working fast
VA’s Board of Veterans’ Appeals resolves record number of claims to date for FY 2018 "WASHINGTON — Underscoring the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) pledge to reduce the wait time for those appealing disability benefits claims, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, as of May 27, has signed more than 53,650 decisions to date in fiscal year (FY) 2018, which is approximately 86 percent more than the 28,839 decisions signed through the same period last year. The Board is currently on track to meet and exceed its FY 2018 total goal of reviewing a historic 81,000 appeals by Sept. 30, 2018. This pace paves the way for implementation of the Appeals Modernizatio…

ramp question
Hi All, Trying to figure this out. In the Higher-Level Review lane, veterans’ claims will be review “de novo.” This means a senior claims adjudicator at the VA will take a look at their entire claims file. In this lane, the record is closed, meaning veterans cannot submit new evidence. The higher-level reviewer will look only at the records already in the veterans’ file at the time of the initial decision. Does this mean they will only look at records at the time of the original claim or evidence I submitted for NOD for one, and a IMO for an appeal directly to Board. Nod going on 26 months and appeal to board states I am 180, 625th in line. Should I do it? my VF…
