Gotta Love The Ssa
hi all, A follow up on my SSDI case. OK, filed for SSDI OCT.06, had state doctor exam about a month ago (April). I had called my claims rep/case worker, I forget the exact title of the person handling the case, in regards to m medical conition and because of the rarity, should I bring any additional information for them. He told me yes, bring what I thought might help the doctor examing me a better knowldge of my condition and to call him back in 2 weeks and he should have an answer for me on my claim. So I did, MRI copies, and surgical reports things like that. So I go, exam was a joke, the psych eval was twice as long as the general medical eval. So no biggie, …

ptsd Prisoners & Ssi
I have afriend that completed 21 years in prison. Upon returing to society he was given 100% SC for PTSD. Social Security turned him down for SSI because he had to much income from the VA. and also because he had not worked for the past 10 years. My question is, is this correct or is there another way to obtain these benifits?

ptsd My Ssd Case.
filed for ssd with the same disabilities on my va claim. The atty is working on it from the start of the claim. My last day at work was March 1. With my GAF of 40 he wants to start with that. I am pending I/U. I am hoping for an increase on my PTSD claim since it was a PTSD issue in which I was medically retiring my position from the employer. It has gotten worse with all this Iraq and Iran crap on the news......I am currently 50% PTSD, 40% Lumbar Disc (Herniation in L4/L5), Bilat knees 20% each, 10 % Scars, and a few other Sc's what do you think my chances are...for ssd approval?

Medical Exam For Ssd
Well I had my medical exam on Wednesday. It was a long day. It seemed to me that the Internal Medicine doc was not on the ball too much. I might have been in her office for maybe 25 min, maybe less. They were very busy there. The Psych doctor, well I was in the room for about 45 min or so. I felt very uneasy and nervous. He made me feel like I was stupid. I can't explain it, but I hope it all goes in my favor. The case worker on my claim told me to call him 2 weeks after the exam and he should have an update or answer for me. Ok, now I just sit back and wait, with my fingers crossed of course!

How Do You Evaluate A Ssd Attorney
How do you find if the attorney is a good attorney or just blowing smoke up you know what.....here are the self proclaimed credentials of an attorney i hired ahead of time, to not wait for denial and appeals. Sorry this cut and paste didnt work as I would like it. My practice is concentrated in disability claims, (Social Security, Railroad Retirement, New York State and Local Employees Retirement, private long-term disability). • I am a former Social Security Claims Representative (nonmedical claim adjudication), and a former Social Security State Agency Disability Analyst (medical claim adjudication). One job is federal, the other state. By chance, I am one of a ver…

Double Dipping
My spouse is rated Unemployable by the VA and rated Service Connected at 70%. She receives 100% SC disability. We are currently applying for SSD, my question is she entitled to receiving 100% SSD or will it be pro-rated because she is already receiving disability from the VA. She retired from the Air Force after serving served 30 years. So in addition to receiving VA disability she also receives her retirement pension. Leo

What Would Be The Chances Of My Husband Getting Ssd
Can you tell me if my husband has all these disablities, what would be your guess at him getting SSD? He was denied the first time, denied on the reconderation, and denied on an appeal and now he is taking it to I believe District Court I don't believe its federal. Anyway 3 of the disablties he had were not yet diagnosied when he did the last appeal, the one for bilateral hearing loss, Chronic adjustment sydrome, and also an encrease in the loss of more urine control. But prior to that this is what he had when he filed the first time but now the last 3 i mention were not on there. So, I hope they will be taken into consideration since it was new diagnosis. He had du…

Va Primary Doctor
I have back and neck injuries (non service connected). I have been turned down for SSD and have asked my VA doctor to write a letter advising i am unable to work. She refuses to do so unless SS were to request such a letter. Thas would never happen. Any suggestions?
