PTSD Re-exam after two years of being 70%
What is required or to submit to keep the 70% PTSD if and when I may get called into a PTSD Dairy C&P? (note:) I am not asking for increase! What evidence Do they want? progress notes off myhealthyvet? Treatment sessions for two years? Will they take older records that I submitted for the original claim? I think they may want to see if my PTSD has got better? I think its still the same although therapy sessions have been every week and bi weekly now after two 1/2 years. ( in therapy constant) never missed an appointment. The only thing I can say is that I can sleep a little better than I used to because the meds knock me out & a…

100% granted and now what?
I got 100% total and permanent rating due to PTSD. I just don't know what to do now? I added my spouse to the system and the VA just transferred the amount for the corrected monthly compensation. Will be he eligible for CHAMPVA? I tried to understand on their website but not sure how it will be. He has no health insurance. Tried to check benefits everywhere, used eBenefits to explore, I just don't know what to do with this new situation. I have been looking for a job long time and now I don't have to. But I will need to do something. I also checked this website what can I do but it's still unclear. Any suggestion folks?

Initial PTSD Diagnosis DBQ Question
Hi Everyone, I have been diagnosed PTSD by my civilian provider and was never seen for this during active duty. My discharge date was July 1, 2017. The following link states that only VA Mental Health providers can complete a DBQ for initial PTSD diagnosis. Is this 100% true or is this no longer true but still on the VA website? https://www.benefits.va.gov/compensation/dbq_faqs.asp "Yes. However there are two separate DBQs for PTSD depending on whether the Veteran has already been told by VA that he or she is "service connected" for PTSD. If the Veteran has already been told by VA that he or she is "service connected" for PTSD, then a private mental h…

sleep apnea case credibility questions.
Hello all; I am a US Navy veteran and new to had it and was wanting to ask about my nexus letter and some specific lay evidence that I have. First, I have a nexus from my physician connecting sleep apnea to service. He wrote a letter and said that I have suffered from symptoms of sleep apnea both in service and post service referencing symptoms listed in lay evidence and spouse interview. He didn't call them out specifically just that he seen it in the lay evidence. He did mention frequent indigestion and headaches though. Will my physician not listing each symptom in his letter result in the letter being discredited or does the reference to symptoms in lay evidence wor…

DBQ?
Is there a way to view the completed DBQ from my PTSD C&P re-exam that I had last week, March 7th? I have got a log in for ebenefits, but I'm new to using the site, and not sure if I've looked in all the right places. I've found where I can click on "Work in Process" under the My Claims and Appeals tab. Then I can see where I have 1 open claim. If I click on this, I see there was a Development Letter sent. When I open the claim status I see a green dot and it says Initial Exam Complete. This is as far as I've gotten...I can't actually find the DBQ from the examiner to view it. I've also gone to my health evet and looked for it to show up in my Progress Notes, b…

Sleep Apnea secondary to PTSD granted but !!!!
Hello everyone, Just posting this question now after talking to Gastone in another forum. I have an NOD in from 2016, for PTSD and Migraines , both of which were denied in 2016 which is why I did the NOD. While being treated for my PTSD I was sent to have a Sleep study done as I have horrible sleep patterns, it showed I have Sleep Apnea, therefore I now use a CPAP machine etc... The head of Sleep at The Philadelphia VA as well as my provider filled out DBQ's for me as well as wrote Nexus letters stating that my OSA was directly related to my PTSD and PTSD Meds. I did an FDC and the VA connected it secondary to PTSD, so on ebenifits under the Pending Disbali…

ANYBODY Rated 70% PTSD OR MORE AND WORK
Hey sorry if wrong place to ask but, I was wondering if anybody works with 70% or more PTSD and what job they do because I can't find anything I can handle day to day. I have an appeal in for IU, but looks like 2 years for a decision. Somebdy told me to drive truckdriving , but how do ppl deal with a panic attacks and constant deadlines and other drivers while driving 18 wheelers . I would trade any amount of money to be me again. I get so worn out just from going into a public place. It seems like it gets worse every year. If anybody has found jobs that they can handle let me know so I can try them.

FDC for TDIU PTSD
I’m new to this thing so please be kind ;) Long story short. DAV had me apply for PTSD TDIU so we completed a FDC. For some reason he thinks I can get IU. He told me to ask my VA psych if she would write me a letter saying I’m unemployable. When I saw her last week I did everything but ask that question and she never made an offer to do so. I could just tell she would not have done it. I did tell her everything that was happening and she mentioned this as notes in MyHealth.va file. She wrote SI but did not plan anything, appetite is not good, lost 11lbs, not sleeping well, panic attacks at work, irritability/frustration at work, concentration problems, doesn’t feel safe…

Secondary Conditions meaning?
I recently filed a claim for secondary conditions and today I was looking in ebenefits and noticed my disabilities have been updated to: PTSD with anxiety/depression 70% Secondary Conditions: ED 0% 12/2016, Gerds 10% 12/2016, and Tension Headaches 0% 12/2016 so what does this mean exactly because I honestly only filed them because I was told to however I do suffer from each of them greatly. Thanks for any help.

PTSD p&t
How common is it for a PTSD rating of 70 (100 ) to receive a notation indicating that it is permanent an total. I was under the impression that p&t status was rarely given for mental health.

Back Pay Incorrect
So after over 4 years since I was honorably discharged (12/15/12), I just received confirmation of my PTSD being service connected among a couple other disabilities, and I am incredibly grateful to have this battle won, however the numbers and dates on the back pay are not accurate. Prior to this I was rated 30% disabled and paid $456.97 a month (married without children). I am now rated 90% disabled and still married without children which I believe is $1,894.71 a month. I received $33,328.04 in back pay on the 8th which I am entirely grateful for, but the numbers and dates are not at all accurate. According to the disability page the 'Effective Dates' are completely ina…
