VA Call
Yesterday, the VA from South Dakota called me, by the way I live in Northeast, to ask me if I went to my last C@P exam with QTC which I did, He told me, he is looking for that information so they can finish my Cervical spine fusion claim, has this happen to anyone else? Ken

TDIU exam question
Hello all. First I would like to say the information here has been very helpful with me being able to understand the VA claim process. I've been a reader of this forum for a while have have learned a lot from reading all of the helpful information here. Thanks to all of you who help and guide us veterans. I was awarded 70% ptsd back in February to give me a total rating of 80% with other injuries I have. Had a ptsd c&p exam beginning of February and was awarded couple weeks later. In April I submitted a claim for tdiu and was sent to another ptsd c&p exam by a different doctor in May. I received the envelope last Saturday which stated the ptsd has been conti…

tdiu I need info on Total and Permanent @80%
I have had 80% total and permenant TDIU for nine years. I see recommendations to continue until 100%. I really do not want to deal with it unless there is a benefit for my wife. Regrettably, It is really stressful to deal with it. Thank you

VA added IU claim...what if I'm not ready?
I just did an REF for MDD/GAD. VA.gov has a "IU (new)" claim and also a request for a TDUI application within 30 days. I'm a little miffed because I understood that the rating decision would have been made within weeks but now they estimate it to be in November. What are the ramifications of me not filing an application for TDIU now but possibly filing one down the road (months or years)? How can I tell the VA to forget about TDIU and hurry up with the rating? The anxiety is bothering me. I want to know if they will lower, keep the same, or increase my rating. I can't sleep.

TDIU strategy: getting approved for SSDI first
I know that SSDI for SC disabilities means near automatic approval of TDIU but not the other way around. Does that mean that I should try to get SSDI first? If so, do you know of any good SSDI resources and forums? Thanks.

Is the VA Form 21-4192 required or not? (Request for employment info in connection with claim for disability benefits)
I have the 21-8940 filled out (Vet application for increased compensation based on unemployability). The VA letter I received says to include the 21-4192 with it, IF POSSIBLE, completed by the employers identified on the 21-8940. Why does it say "if possible"? Do they want it or not? I'm not sure I can even get my former employers (3 of them between 2012 and 2017) to fill one out or even exactly where to send it to them to fill out. Can I just send 3 forms to the VA with the name and contact info of each of those three employers? Do they HAVE to have the 21-4192? Confused here. Anyone? Thanks.

Is form 4192 required?
I submitted a requested for individual unemployability on 7/26/2020. I have 2 service connected disabilities (one at 70%, the other at 50%). I listed the 70% disability as the one making me unemployable. I attended my C&P exam on Monday, 8/10/2020 and as of yesterday, my claim was in the "Gathering of Evidence Stage." This morning my claim was in "Preparation for Decision" and it is now in "Pending Decision Approval." I did not submit the VA Form 21-4192 Request for Employment Information form with my claim. I called Peggy today and they said that they did not see where the VA had requested or received that form and that the VA did not need anything else to decid…

TDIU and working, taxes.
In 2017 I received my award letter and it stated that I was tdiu permanent and total with no future exams. Since then I have never received anything in the mail from the VA asking whether I'm working or not or earned any income. I got curious about this and read up on a few posts that they now verify if there's any earned income through Social Security and IRS. My question is in 2019 I earned $600 helping an elderly family friend around her house. I cleaned her yard, cut the grass and things of that nature on the days I felt well enough to do it. It was an hour here and there. The total for the year was 600. Well now fast-forward to 2020 it's tax time and…

early retirement/tdiu
Hello, I am rated at 70% for PTSD and still working. I was planning to work until I was 65, however 59 years old now. I feel my PTSD is getting worse however and I have been getting treated by the VA for about 7 years now for mental health. Starting to lose a lot more work, just getting harder and harder to come to work and deal with work issues. (ugh) I don't think I could make it much longer and since I have enough time in to retire, I plan on it soon. I also have a couple months still left on sick time I could use, I will take a penalty for retiring early but if I can't do It, then I can't do it. my VA therapist told me I should apply for TDIU, since I'm lea…
