  1. Great news........ Take yourselves a mini vacation, let it all sink in and let out all the bad stress this has caused you and your family.
  2. http://www.aolhealth.com/2010/08/31/diabetes-now-top-health-claim-for-vietnam-vets/?icid=main%7Chtmlws-main-n%7Cdl8%7Csec3_lnk3%7C167736 Interesting article
  3. I think 10 for left and 10 for right would equal 2% bilateral.
  4. This is a continued fight.........any Judge that ignores controlling law by making their own, should be disbarred. http://jerebeery.com/index.html < good info there.
  5. Congrats, a good week for sure. This success will require a double dance, but if you would just post short video of the family doing the bird....we all would most appreciate it....Im just saying.
  6. I don't know that much about AA......However several years ago I did some research on moving overseas, I was surprised at what I found......Do a Google search on this, if I can find anything I saved off the old puter I will post it for you.......Its just not that easy to move there.
  7. I second what John stated.......IMO, I would type out a rebuttal and point out the C&P erroneous information not based on fact and should not be considered, and get my own IMO. You could then send the good C&P doc a notice for payment of all the work he states you did not loose
  8. Might try the 1-800 #, it works sometimes.....or if you have a POA, call them, they should have the award.
  9. ironsoldier77, Voc Rehab denied you " I have been unemployed since 2008 and I went through voc rehab and they found me infeasable for work, untrainable, not expected to get gainful employment"........Did you push this issue with your claim, The VA would have a hard time explaining this in a IU denial. I think the TBI claim will get you some more %, but it would seem you are already eligible for IU regardless of the TBI award. I also see mention about a Back, and knee condition......are these possible SC injuries?....If so, file for them NOW while your prior claims are fresh. If you do not already have one, get a copy of your SMR's..... Don't give up, all of us here have been there done that.......you will learn patients, but things will go smoother if you dot your i's and cross your T's for each condition you claim.
  10. Carlie, I completely agree, I also said as much. On another note, this Vet has a Certified letter from the same, asking him to call her so she can get him into a one on one therapy for his PTSD, since he refused group.........I have not seen that before from this VAMC. I have been out of the loop at this VAMC for years, other than dental I refuse to let them treat me after I was escorted out...I am just lucky to have good insurance. Maybe things are getting better there.
  11. Thanks for the reply's....His AO claim will be due to his skin condition, the VA also found a mass in his lung that they told him was related. I am waiting again for his complete medical history, I should have that by Friday. This was so long ago I still need all the other info we gathered. I do know that he has a phone interview Friday for his PTSD and AO....Mental health told him this was the better option rather than a face to face?...I don't really know the reason for this procedure. The head of mental health told him today that if he would file his claim ASAP, she would make sure it got pushed through. He has no POA, he just don't trust people at all, so we will see in the next few days when I have all the info in front of me.
  12. Several years ago I was helping a Nam vet I know finally file his claim, after getting everything in order I asked him about his stressers that we could relate to PTSD, after about 20 min this guy almost had me in tears, then he locked up and we never went no further. A few days ago he called to say he was ready this time to file........what is chapping my ass is according to his medical records, the VA diagnosed him with AO in 96, the diagnosed him with PTSD in 01.....Whiskey Tango Foxtrot .......They did not tell him about this until today when he went to mental health when he ask them to pull his records to see his diagnosed conditions. This Vet has has some of the nastiest lesions on his skin I have seen, the VA cut them off and sends him home, his PTSD in my mind rates 100% alone. He has been on a VA pension for many years now, I know that he will get 100% when the claim is filed.....The concern to me is the EED for the AO and PTSD......... I guess my big question is, due to the diagnosis dates for PTSD and AO, Would these conditions be considered as inferred claims for EED since the VA failed to tell this VET about the diagnosis?
  13. John keep fighting on, I don't know if the BVA stated an oxymoron or they were just being a moron. Are you sure you sent this to the BVA and not OWCP, I thought OWCP was the only agency who could bring new meaning of understanding to the English language.
  14. No harm no foul........all of the sudden I just thought I was a popular guy, guess I need to redo the 4 head hairs again and start wearing my glasses
  15. Great news, hope the win and possible SSDI makes things easier for you and your family.
  16. "He just thought going paperless meant getting rid of the files  . . . It cost him his job as soon as we found out about it," Lawrence said. Now there is a classic CYA if I ever saw one. As disgusting as this is, I agree with Tbird, I have had the good and the bad in VSO's but when it comes down to brass tacks, you must be responsible to insure your C-file contains everything and copy , copy , copy everything you send in or give the VSO.
