  1. I was called by the RO when before I recieved my decision in August. I thougt it was cool that she explained what their decision was, I was able to ask questions.
  2. Are you receiving social security retirement?
  3. I just recieved my Cpap machine to day my setting will be 15 is that high or low or average. Any pointers would be appreciated, here's to a good night sleep finally :).
  4. Check out topic under VocRehab, that should give you a good idea about the program.
  5. Berta, I have not yet asked my psych doc to write that up yet. I just requested increase to P&T last week. I do have a letter from a NP that she thinks my school should be put on hold at least six months due to my SC conditions become more stable. I am service connected for knees 10% tinnitis 10%, and depression 70%.
  6. Bergie I'm claiming my knees, back, hearing loss, tinnitis, and depression. I am service connected for my knees, tinnitis, and depression.
  7. Thanks for your input, I just have so much anxiety now when I go into a classroom; the reality is I may not be able to finish.
  8. She said that If I would not be a candidate for IL as it would only be able to help with prosthetics. This semester I took Microbiology, Algebra, and Chemistry. I think that was a bit much, so if IL is not an option either and I'm unemployable then by definition wouldn't that be P&T?
  9. Do you think this would be good evidence for a reconsideration of P&T? I should be hearing from SSD in a few weeks too.
  10. If you delete the blocked quotes in the previous post you can send it then.
  11. It took about thirty days to get the new award letter and about five days later I got the check. You may know already; that sometimes the check will beat the award letter especially if you have direct deposit.
  12. The retro will be separate from your monthly check. If you have direct deposit, It will go to your bank account. I recently had a child of mine added due to college attendance and they sent me a check from the month of enrollment. They sent a rating letter reflecting that change as well. Hope this answers your questions. Good luck.
  13. I put my IU claim in the end of Feb and was awarded IU the end of August. Good Luck.
  14. Michelle would buying a new furnace qualify you for a tax credit that would make it cheaper, sure you spend the money now but you get it back when you file your taxes in form of rebate. Have you looked into that? I just had my exam today so I'm anxiously awaiting a decision back too. Wow less than a week that was lightening quick; sorry about the bad news the furnace and the decision, did you use a lawyer or go it alone?
  15. I was dumped due to IU according to her and barriers to being successful each semester because of anxiety, hearing loss and depression, To quote her she didn't think indpendent living was worth it for me maybe so prosthetics; for things like a shower chair. I was in the program since 06. I became IU in August I was trying to get my Bachelor's in nursing.
  16. I was told by my Voc Rehab counselor today that she was disenrolling me from the program due to IU status and poor performance due to SC disabilities. I spoke with my SO and he said that I could not use this to get a P&T rating. Is this true and how would I go about using it as evidence. Thanks /doc
  17. I wish I could say it went well, but the truth is I don't know. Now comes the wait and wait and wait. argh!
  18. I know the feeling about taking time to sink in. What a perfect time to enjoy it. You should get it before the fifteen days, mine came in six. Congrats Boon enjoy.
  19. You can check online or go personally to the office nearest you and ask directly.
  20. I would say yes you should hear something in the next few weeks, can't say for sure which it would be since they can deny or approve. Here's hoping its good news.
  21. I had the same problem with an employer whow would not respond to numerous request. I called and asked that they decide the claim with the evidence that they had. This was after three attempts to get them to respond. They finally did and I was awarded IU.
  22. You can always have it transcribed and notarized.
