Dmii From Oral Meds To Insulin. Should I File For An Increase?
I am currently rated : IHD=60, DMII=20 and PN=40 (4X10). VA math puts that at 80%. I was put on insulin last month which can increase the DMII from 20% to 40%. The way I calculate the VA math that would put me at 84.25%. This I am sure the VA would round down to 80%. If I end up with the same 80% I have now, does it make any sense to file for an increase at this time? Or, should I wait until there may be something else for which I could file? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Thanks to anyone who replies- How would this be awarded percentage wise? 30 % IHD SC 30% PTSD SC 10% HBP 1151 as if SC. to clarify- the HBP 1151 was due to medication errors and not associated with the veteran's IHD. Yet.

Finally In The Decision Phase
My claim for extended convalescence due to my back surgery went into to the decision phase on 1/18/12. I filed for my extension in august of 2011. The person on the 800# said that the St. Pete RO is taking around 70 days to process in the decision phase. I found out about the pilot program that the st. pete ro is offering but if I would have put my claim in for the program, my claim would start over. So of course I declined. So, I have my fingers crossed.

To File Or Not To File?
I have my initial claim submitted and it will be 13 months on Feb 23. Is it too late to file hardship. My vso told me that on 1/25/2012 it went to a second rater for some reason. Yes, it is getting difficult financially to get by because my Dr. told me to stop working. Any suggestions as to filing for hardship?

New Guy Playing The Waiting Game After Submitting His Claim.
Spent about thirty minutes searching and couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for. I followed the advice of my DAV and mailed out the fast start form, copy of my medical records and copy of marriage certificate on 9/20 for my claims which were all physical . It appears I am waiting on the C and P appointment? Anyone know how long they're taking and how they contact you (mail or phone)? Also can anyone link any threads of what I can expect for the C and P appointments; again, I've tried searching yet can't seem to find anything. Thanks

Interesting Claim For Mdd Secondary To Pain - Updated
MAJOR DEPRESSIVE DISORDER I AM SORRY THE BOARD WILL NOT LET ME COPY AND PASTE WHAT I WROTE AND i AM NOT GOING TO RE TYPE IT. I WILL TRY LATER. INTERESTING CLAIM OF MDD SECONDARY TO PAIN Until the research studies determine that they can isolate the many potential factors that could be causing the correlation between pain and MDD the VA C&P examiners and the raters should stay out of the business of pretending that they can isolate separate and distinct issues which would allow for the denial of a secondary claim for MDD in any veteran who has had a long ongoing condition that creates chronic pain. The veteran sustained multiple injuries to bot…
