hypertension Do I Have A Valid Claim For Medication Induced Ed?
My C & P exam for ED last year was denied later by the RO, stating that my ED was caused by medications and age. This is what the VA contract doctor put in his opinion. I agree with in part as it was my contention when I filed the claim for ED that my 7 high blood pressure medications caused the ED, along with the uncontrolled hypertension. My question is, do I have valid claim or not. The medications clearly state on the warnings that come with each prescription that they may have side effect of causing ED. I have lettter from my Urologist and his DBQ to support my contention, but it appears this was ignored, as not even on the list of evidence in the denial let…

I filed an claim back in May 2013 and found out that they obtained a copy of my records from ssi, they are now putting everything from ssi in my va claim, should i be worried that this will effect my rating? On ebenefits they closes my claim effective July 3rd but at the bottom it says appeal is possible does that mean I was not awarded an increase? Thanks Cynthia

Need Advice With Va Claim
First time poster here! I have a on going claim with the VA for a heart condition and IBS. Since the VA has taken such a long time, I applied for SSDI and was approved because of heart conditions and IBS. I asked my VSO at the DVA if I should sumit the positive SSDI report to the VA and was told "NO", do not as they are a different agency. It seems to me that if SSN granted me SSDI for the same disabilities, this info could or should have some bearing on my VA case....... especially since they are the same disabilities. I could summit the SSDI findings in the ebenefits website without going to the DVA. Should I summit it?

Back Help!
Hello all this is my first post here. I am still active duty about to retire in a year. I have had back issues since 2005 on a deployment. I injured my back again on another deployment when I was tasked to go with the Army in 2008. In 2012 I had some denervation done before I deployed again. When I got back from my deployment I went to see the doctor and he suggested surgery. I was scheduled for a PLIF on my L5,L4 & S1 on my left side. When the doctor opened me up my right side was just as bad from an accident I had coming home from the 2012 deployment. He had to do a PLIF on both sides L5,L4 & S1. Rehab went ok, the pain shooting into my legs went away, b…

Filing For Fdc & Ssdi
Just wondering if it's better to file one before the other? I'm trying to get everything together but it's a lot to try and do both at the same time. But I will if necessary. Also, is there a post or something that tells how to put together the papers for fdc? I got a copy of my medical records from va and it's a lot of forms and a lot of irrelevant forms as well. Thanks

Permanent Disability Rating
I already have a combined 100% service connected for several health issues. When applying for permanent rating should I link it to specific diagnosis on the statement in support of claim. Or should i just make a basic statement like " I am writing to request a permanent rating" and let them decide which diagnosis I am referring to. I just dont want to write too little or too much. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
