Need Little Help Tracking Down Records
Dear members, I am from California and former USMC (sergeant). So far I tried calling VA Long Beach, VA Regional Office in San Diego, VA Oakland, and Archieve in order to track down my service medical records. They all keep telling me they have and when I call them they say, "we do not have your service record, the VA will have it." I am not too sure who to call anymore. Thank you so much for your help. My old LT wrote me a missing gear statement when my seabag and my personnel medical record got lost in Iraq, but I was told they usually have more than one copy of it. I got out back in 2008.

Va To Dfas To Va Compensation Distribution
Ladies and Gentlemen, This is my first post on this website and overall any website regarding VA Compensation (Information Inquiries). During my search(es) via this vast web, I have come across multiple articles regarding 'issues' dealing with VA Benefits. So here's my background in hopes of someone shedding some light and recommendations on my situation. Background. I am a Retired United States Marine with 20 years of faithful and honorable service. My VA Compensation Rating is currently at 80% (Originally dated in July 2012). I retired in July 2011 and have yet to receive compensation pay - backdated to August 2011. 1. ‘ERRORS’ which initially prolonged Compensa…

I am still waiting for my decision (been fighting since 02/06/2014).

Opinions On Getting Lawyers
I currently have 20% rating. I first received 10% in 2005 when I got out of active duty then in about 2010 after reopening claim it went to 20%. At that time I didn't understand how the process went. This time around I was considering getting a lawyer through allsup.com or fight4vets.com. I wanted know others experience. I was told it helps the process and time frame. What do you guys think?

ptsd Hearing Aid Denied
The VA just denied me my hearing aid because they think my hearing is normal and its not the haring that is giving me a headache and making me hard to focus and study. The VA told me they think I need to go mental health route due to my mild cognitive impairment and PTSD (lack of sleep and stress). They told me my current condition is worse than me wearing hearing aid so they told me to go seek more mental health therapy. Is this a good thing for my claim? I mean I am little sad that my injuries are giving me all these trouble, but I would like to get what I deserve so I can improve my life. Thank you Reply Report
