Upcoming C&P Exam for Nerve Damage due to surgery; What happens in that C&P?
Long story short. 🙂 My left knee is 30% Service connected. During the ACL surgery they nerves across the knee were severed and I have no feeling in the outside of my leg from the knee to the top of the foot/ankle area and around the front near the top of my foot. That area also no longer has hair. The inner muscle on my calf is significantly smaller than the other. I have an up and coming C&P exam with VES. I would like to know what all they do in this exam. Anyone have an idea? I don't think it falls under paralysis of the nerve as I still have function. I don't know if it falls under neuritis or neuralgia? Anyone have an idea?

VA doing the C&P Exam?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I got a call from a VA rep today scheduling me for an exam in relation to my claim I recently filed. All my past exams have been done at a private doctor. Does the VA actually do C&P exams also?

C&P Exam with Addendum
I had a Gulf War General Medical Examination C&P exam. Looked at the exam notes and it has an Addendum for my ED DBQ. The C&P examiner wrote the following addendum. My question is do you think they will grant me compensation for ED? Thanks in advance. ADDENDUM STATUS: COMPLETED On further review, the veteran has ED which is a symptom and not truely a diagnosis. As the condition is usually due to another diagnosis. On further review, the veteran has had long standing HTN and it is my opinion that the veteran's ED is at least as likley as not due to his long standing HTN. Therefore he has a condition with a clear etiology.

Upcoming C&P Exam
I have a C&P Exam coming up. I put in a supplementary claim for Agent Orange hypothyroidism. Does anybody know if it has been added to the presumptive list. I heard it has, which is why I filed the claim. But my VSO, who filed the claim, says it's still waiting for Congress to pass it . Otherwise why would she submit the claim?? Please help, my email is richarddharrison@juno.com

LHI and covid
I was recently sent a letter by LHI for an exam . This was for a disability I did not actually claim. I know this is nuts. On the letter from LHI it stated that if I was over 65 years old I did not have to attend the exam if I feared possible infection by covid-19. I told them I was afraid of covid and that since I did not actually claim this new disability I did not want to attend the pension exam. Today I got a letter telling me I was eligible for Disabled Vet Life Insurance. I interpret this as the VA having ignored my letters and made a decision on a new disability I did not claim. Wow.....this is goofy especially since I think they granted a rating on this unc…

Another Veteran's C&P in C-File
Odd item but back in 2015 when the rating decision came down for my husband's first claim, he downloaded his files. The C&P belonged to someone else. So, he went back to his VSO with the records and requested a copy of his c-file. The VSO listed the C&P belonging to another veteran that was in my husband's file as the main reason. This exam, that doesn't belong to him even though apparently this veteran had the same injury, is still in his c-file. Just wondering what we should do here. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Upcoming C&Ps (same day) for ratings increase for feet pain/knee/migraines/PTSD
Hello, I have C&P exams all in one day in January. Any advice on what to expect? Here's a synopsis on what I'm up against/working with. - PTSD increase is based off several years of VA mental health treatment and a Nexus letter written by my mental health doctor, which named PTSD, Depression, Chronic Pain Syndrome with depression, Panic D/O with Agoraphobia and survivor's guilt as a diagnosis (last 3 are recently added to records). - Knee pain- VA issued me a big knee brace and my primary care (tricare) orthopedics specialist just put me an Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO) brace because she says I have drop foot and weakened ankle support which tried to compe…

C&P exam records access
After waiting many, many months for C&P exams for several disability rating increases and one new disability I went to a third party exam company, QTC Medical Group. Is there any way for me to get the results and notes from their "exams"? I believe there were omissions and errors that has resulted in the VA planning to cut my ratings and benefits in half. They also completely ignored the new disability filing

IHD exam for increase but examiner ignored what was in the records
Okay my husband is rated as follows: 10% tinnitus, 30% Ischemic heart, 40% hearing loss and 100% temp lung malignancy. He's had that temp 100% for over two years. He's had all kinds of heart issues since the original heart rating to include two stents, a new aortic valve and chronic congestive heart failure, all of which are documented in his VA file. He is a mess and I take care of everything for him. I applied for the caregiver program and have just been approved. The people with that program told me I need to see about getting his heart rating up and to request he be rated permanent and total. I put in the completed claim and they did a C&P in December. I…

Sleep Apnea
Good evening I was diagnosed with sleep apnea by my neurologist. I looked at the rating criteria but am not clear. Do I have to have a sleep study done as well in case I wanted to file a potential claim? Or is the neurologist diagnosis good enough? thanks

Back Exam
Currently 10% for lower lumbar. Going through my VA medical records and found where my VA doctor documented doing a back exam on me in June 2013. The exam results he documented in my medical record would justify increasing me to the 20% rate. Has it been too long to try and do anything with that exam? Put in for an increase and back date to the June 2013 exam? Thanks.
