ptsd Ptsd Stressor Letter And Proof
I want to say that I have found so much information on these forums. I don't think I would have been able do all research without all of you. I can't thank you enough for the education I got on these forums. I am putting together a stressor letter for my husband and I want to include supporting documents. Can someone please look over what we have so far and tell us if we are on the right track or if this is a waste of time. My husband was in Kuwait/Iraq in2003/04. He was assigned to camp security entry and exit points for American base camps in the area. He traveled in convoys in and out of Iraq/Kuwait daily. He doesn't have any combat medals but his DD-214 stat…

ptsd Wartorn 1861-2010 / Hbo Documentary / Ptsd
Tonight I ran across this when I accessed my HBO on demand - documentaries. "WARTORN 1861-2010". Below is a link to the web site info. Be careful if you watch this as it might tear you up bad - but I feel it's very important that they are really bringing combat PTSD out in the forefront to the public. I think all students in High School should have to watch this and write a term paper on it. http://www.hbo.com/documentaries/wartorn-1861-2010/index.html

ptsd Keep Your Chin Up!
Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I've posted on here, but I just dropped back on to see how everyone's been doing, and I see some new faces. About a half of a year ago, I finally won my battle with the VA and was awarded an increase from 80% for PTSD, Neck, Back, and Tinnitus, to 100% PTSD. I just wanted to give some encouragement to everyone again to keep pushing for what you believe you should be rated at. I know it's strenuous, and can take a toll out on you and your families, but if you keep going for it, good things can and usually will happen. If it hadn't been for this website, I would have been lost on my claim, and would not have done nearly as well a…

ptsd Non-Combat Ptsd & Witness Statement
Hey guys; I have a troop under my command who just returned from his third deployment with our Signal Corp National Guard unit. During our deployment together in 2009 we were attached to a JSOC unit and where subjected to several "close calls" from indirect fire. One incident in particular came close enough to hear the incoming & see and feel the explosions. (Within a hundred yards) Well this troop's wife has recently confided in me since our redeployment he's exhibited several symptoms of PTSD to include sleepless nights and massive doubts of anxiety completely uncharacteristic to this individual's personality. After talking with him he's agreed to seek he…

ptsd Yet Another Horror Story
Well, its been a month since my C&P exam for a re-rate for PTSD. My treating doc told me to put in for 100% and wrote a letter to the C&P examiner saying I was unemployable and needed my meds to make it thru the day. The exam was 15 min away (Loch Raven) from the hosp.(Balto.) and as of this writing; the report has not made the 15 mile electronic journey to the main regional hosp. or office. (I have been @70% for 17 yrs). After no word and feeling wholly ancy, I called my VA rep here in Md and she had no info for me. I called 202-565-5436 and got a HUMAN who stated that I needed to call Wilmington,DE for more info. She also suggested the (dont laugh) 18008271000 n…
