  1. 6 hours later that was exhausting. I thought I did ok but the second half of the day I felt like a total rifle range Unqualifed with a pistol nominee. But I guess I see we're I need to work and I'm not sure it will be done in 10 days I told him about my SSa claim he said he will try but who knows I just want the results...
  2. Yea I just had a 6 hour neuropsych and my local VA not for disability but for my treatment polytrama plan. I currently am awaiting my initial SSDI claim work it's way through I have my SSA exam on the 30th, my test may or may not be ready for them in time for the exam just sucks if he makes me do another test. At least I should hope it's as through to get a complete picture of how my mind is still xxxxxx 10 years later.
  3. Sometimes I don't even know I want to post me questions in the TBI forum at times but I noticed nobody really answers questions in there.
  4. So did our closet friends baby is now 2 and healthy as can be congrats to you as well. I'm not even doing anything they called me and working with my Primary but they said it's a good chance..
  5. I received a call from Richmond VA for the PTRP and introduced me to the idea. I have a lot to get done before I am able to do something like that my wife is due MAY 8 and that's allot to ask of my wife a mother of two to do for a possible 3 weeks at the least she said. I wish Philly or Wilimington DE had something like that to do outpatient from Home.
  6. I've had MRis that show residuals of my sTBI from 2006 still to this day. I've not had treatment since I got out in 2010 and my mind is slipping. It took until 2016 until service connected but in those 6 years working had been hell one job after the next. I'm at 70% for my TBI this test comes after my MRI and since my last one was in 2010 when I got out the military. My Primary wants to see how much we have to start over for my treatment plan. And then I have to do another exam 9days later for SSDI. So I haven't been getting sleep with anxiety this is my only source of venting and helping other vets on here takes my mind of my issues.
  7. Send a message through IRIS system they give you an answer usually the next day they say 5 but if it's an easy fix it's answered shortly
  8. I am understanding that this exam can now tell me if my sTBI exacerbated my childhood ADD but what can it show? Can it show what symptoms are related with my TBI and my PTSD? A veteran rep from the VA called me explaining saying I should ask the doctor performing the exam to see if he can opinion what's my TBI and what's my PTSD this call I got was because he said he was asked to call me from someone at the Philly RO. I think he said he was responding to an inquiry that the office of case management made on my behalf. If the VA hospital giving the exam I also have another SSA medical exam. I know the va and ssa can get each other's reports but Am I allowed to ask this neurologist if he can opinion what he thinks. These next two weeks I'm so on edge no matter what I am told I won't be able to sleep maybe 5 hours until appt at 830 on Tuesday.
  9. So my Primary doctor said since they can't help me or have failed along with my service department in evaluation of my TBI on the severity he wants to send me to the George Bush Center on TBI research. He said he is speaking with Dr. Kelly this week so I think I may finally be properly evaluated and treated for all my injuries invisible as some are and being able to finally figure out my black out problem. I have found a VA doctor who cares about my issues and is trying to get the 1. The Va to pay for it or 2. Have the Bush center do it for free for aid in researching for them. I have yet to see a research project involving PTSD and sTBI with Post traumatic amnesia and isn't disgruntled with his system he is actually one of many in the Wilmington Delaware hospital. So if you have a choice where to be seen and are as close to philly as Delaware pick Wilmington VA. Fingers are crossed said I was a very good candidate for this project. I don't care if it's not a guarantee to be my old self but a step in the right direction. i am so glad I left Philadelphias area where I was a dime a dozen in Delaware I can walk in at any moment if needed and be seen. I understand it's a smaller area and not a huge city. But if I were Philadelphia I'd be broken down into four sections And have a different VA facility to ensure all are helped for each section I'd break it down North South East West of the city and for the surrounding whichever region they are closer too.
  10. If I didn't say it before email him. I received a call from my RO because of the email I sent him. And they explained my appeal was now certified after 6 months to the BVA. I think that's moving fast maybe not as fast as my first but every appealed issue is different...
  11. Just hoping his health will make it that long he was mid to late 70s but he seemed in good health other then what you can't see with the human eye
  12. I actually just gave Him the website to this for research the BVa.va.gov to read similiar stories I explained how to use the search blocks and to use AND OR with " " helps with navigating through the unneeded stuff then I had to go to my appointment I'm still hearing that Rep in my head let the VA do it they get all the evidence you'll need it's people who lie right to your face I was glad I was there to chime in if you want to wait another decade otherwise either find it if you know where it's at or even get IMO if you want the only help you get from them is the excuse about a backlog every time you call. She just walked away we laughed
  13. Skipping the hearing and he submitted a written statement citing the facts Dec 29, 2015 and my appeal was decided and granted May 6 2016 less then six months. This was after my DRO hearing judge gave us what we needed to present to the appeal judge. My DRO took all together 8 months all of was a combination of errors they scheduled it in four months and the first time they scheduled it they did it before asking my attorney if he was free then they rescheduled the week the Pope was in Philadelphia they felt bad rescheduled within 30'days. My claim was denied 2012 and I waited over the Appeal time of 1 year so in 2014 Mr Kendall filed a cue which was granted on the reason I was never given a SOC for their denial explaining why they were right and.my service department LOD was incorrect. The appeals judge denied cue saying since they never provided a statement of the case it was still open even after the three denials prior but in the end she sided with my service department and my attorney and the retro was roughly 100k.It went claim reconsider DRO then appeal all of which was done in 6 years sounds long but incredibly quick for all that together. Tooth and nails to a chalkboard this entire process never stop or give in when you feel your right. Just find the evidence and they can't deny you.
  14. Agreed sorry I assumed you meant it was done at your local VA. If it's outsourced you have to request it from the VA or if you have an attorney he can get you a copy.
  15. Thanks gastone I understand why I was given SMC S, my IU counts as 100 for my TBI even though it's 70 schduler by itself and then all my other ailments are an additional 70% all together minus the TBI. From past posts I have gotten I maybe qualify SMC L. What are those requirements? Unlike my first two one 2007 and 2010 I have received no treatment since I got out and now I worse then before especially with my memory. Since this is being done by the VA will I expect a through one that I may use as evidence for My SSDI exam on 30th? How much weight is a test like this for my mental RFC? And with this test can this be used for an increase for my TBI residuals?
  16. I am 100% based on unemployability. I am also SMC-S1 it all came down to what the VA examiner said I was not able to do anymore which was the basis of my AA. As far as I know I just checked the box when I applied on ebenefits for my increase and IU claim. I am also not P and T yet apparently I wasted 4 months when I got my decision you submitted the incorrect form.
  17. Like we hinted at his opinion may be your insomnia due to lack of sleep is causing your depression and anxiety as a symptom and lump it all together. That's just a guess...
  18. Actually the vet was grateful it's the VA staffer who was mad at me. We chuckled behind her back!!
  19. So apparently filing for Permanent and total can not be done in a written statement or typed. It has to be added to the remarks page on a standard VA form 21-526EZ. Not sure if that was the old way but in my SOC they didn't deny it they said it needs to be filed on this form. So heres for a wasted 4 months of waiting the xxxx couldn't they just tell me that over the phone?
  20. I'm sorry if I confused you his opinion will be on the C&P exam not just a VA rep will know if done by your VA check ebenefits health records blue button. The exam should be there after 3 working days.
  21. So as I am waiting for a VOC rehab a man sat across with me and asked the front lady if She knows how to file disability, he was in Vietnam. She said the basics and then she said you don't have to worry about getting the evidence the VA does it for you. I chimed in not to be rude but sir if you know where the evidence is bring it in here or submit on ebenefits he said he knew how to. She looked angry I said look the reason there's years of wait time is because you all don't know where to look and even when you do it's pending scanning into a system that won't benefit this man at 71 years old. Maybe I was wrong any comments? Wasn't trying to be rude just trying to prevent delays
  22. I Second the chance of getting 100% if they lowball you it may still bump you to 90. Anything less and file a NOD and fight the good fight!!
  23. The doctor opinioned diagnosis will be all that matters and this is a guess but it might say something along the lines that due to your sleeping disturbances/ insomnia it's cause you depression and anxiety residuals and lump it all together.
  24. They are usually pretty accurate but they can be delayed like they all are with 1800827 give this number a call this will get you your answers (202) 530-9470.
