  1. Apparently the old way of submitting P and T was just submitting a new claim with a written statement requesting it. That won't work so you can use ebenefits but to do it you have to submit in as evidence a copy of the 21-526EZ section that lists the disabilities and write in seeking p and t refer to a 21-4138.I submitted a 21-4138 statement to support just in case asking for P and T and explained why. She talked to the case worker handling my FDC claim this is what he said to do. This took me 5 months to figure out she apologized since she was the person who told me the first denial that submitting a statement as evidence was good enough, but that has changed I'm passing the word. I'm not mad at the fact she was wrong she's helped me numerous of times if this helps you all then she's helped more then just me....
  2. Exactly first she kept telling I did it the right way but when she asked the guy working my case he said PT has to be submitted on the form not using ebenefits. I was angry but can't agrue just relay the message I'm going to see what's different he mailed a letter explaining what I'm doing wrong that I will share.
  3. PTSD was lumped in with my TBI so I filed for an increase for my TBI with a secondary of adjustment disorder/ ADHD not the hyper kind the doctor opined. I have a separate rating for my headaches at 0% which I filed an increase the fact I'm getting acupuncture and Botox by the VA as well as taking 1600mg of inufrofen a day for my daily headaches says that's not a 0 but who knows. I'm sure it will be connected as just a system since it was exacerbated by my TBI it's already in the Prep for a decision after one week so I called the office of case management they told me you can't file for PT on ebenefits you have to submit the paper version of the 21-526. So who Evers is working my case in Delaware was actually sending IM messages to the woman I spoke to yesterday she got him to send in the mail yesterday the paper version. I keep preaching this number if I didn't call it would have been denied right away. He said to her well I was just denied and usually that's an instant denial within 6 to 12 months from the decision but I said it was denied in the SOC because I filed on the wrong form. This is why he mailed me the right one and said fax it in ASAP and she asked me to FAX to her so it's not lost...
  4. Call the number I preach about and she spoke with my RO. Apparently you can't file Permanent and Total on the 526EZ on ebenefits even if you submit a statement with it. It has to be done on the paper version not to sure why but she said she got my RO to send me the paper to fill out and to send in. She asked that I faxed her a copy of it so as to no mistake of where it is and that it's the proper one. How is it that everyone at the VA is not like this office? She explained she talked to my RO and he said that since I was just denied that it would probably be denied as well. Until I read him he decision it was denied because I submitted it on the wrong for verbatim. Four months to reach that decision...
  5. This is in my medical records and entered in 2011 the DX for ADHD and was given straterra to help. I never filed for a claim had to stop taking the meds since I was a violent sleeper and that's if I'd been up for days. So forgot about it then dx for my sTBI and my dx PTSD came through. My neuropsych test from 2007 2010 mentioned my ADHD and then again it showed up in my 2017 test so the doc wrote dx sTBI with HX of ADHD. Last week doc Dx: TBI with memory/cognitive deficits Adjustment Disorder and then put me on Ritalin. I filed my secondary claim as ADHD I didn't realize it should have been chronic adjustment disorder? Is this something that is considered the same thing or will they deny it much like my PT claim as I submitted the wrong form for 4 months pending before they told me sorry wrong form resubmit...
  6. Hittem where it counts and then keep going there's never to much find every loophole and tie the knot.
  7. I'm not familiar with wait times for FDC with no new issues. But 1 secondary and 2 increases and a 3 VA doctors have dx the secondary issue the first time was in 2011 I didn't see a reason to claim until now that strattera has failed and my body is still getting adjusted to the Ritalin hence me on here at 130Am. What is the standard for an FDC wait with 3 issues on the claim? I've read if there's 1 or 2
  8. Guilty as he said I'm so sorry I'm a real pain in the ass.
  9. Let me guess a lowball 70% but it could be anything with the VA possibly even 100%. I just don't want to build you up to get a lowball
  10. Time to log on ebenefits if you need a guide you can message me and I'll give you a tutorial on how to file your own claim. If you don't have a computer or a public library. But not to be nosey but what stressor are you claiming happened as in my case they first verified if I had a stressor incident before I scheduled my C&P. If it's a medical reason which is likely they ask the opinion of a doctor what he thinks about it being stressor. My sTBI was a stressor which is why they lumped it with that and not my second stressor from deployment. Call this tomorrow and ask what's going on with why no C&P and hell or she'll explain and either put in an inquiry or explain why so now you know what your plan of attack will be.(202) 530-9470 tells us what they tell you
  11. I am on this boat myself I just filed for ADHD secondary to my sTBI since my PTSD is lumped in there. Are you not SC for the TBI yet? That's a known cause to exacerbate ADHD symptoms. It took me 6 years to get SC for my TBI and PTSD so if you have any questions about either send a message?
  12. Do you have ebenefits? You click on compensation and see your new claim click on it. Then scroll down 3 tier bar shows documents yours there's and other click on yours. You should be able to upload it to the claim this way it doesn't make it a normal claim as far as I know that's how I submitted all of my FDC paperwork on my own. Obsessions and insomnia make for a long night of mastery of ebenefits
  13. Please email Ted Ebert he will straighten your RO out and will have them send you a call like he did for me and the other veteran who has been posting ShuMan that I told to email him. He just got back from vacation today send him an email I'm getting pissed at your doctors already. Search Ted Ebert Emails address on this site.
  14. So this is the second time I've been diagnosed by doctors saying that now I have adhd and my first dx of adjustment disorder at the VA hospital in just the last three weeks. So I filed for it secondary to my TBI? I hear how hard it is, but is it hard even if you have two different dx one 2007 in the Marines and then 2011 at the willow grove VA. I was given Straterra in 2007 and in 2011, during service and then after but before I was service connected for my TBI. And now this time they are giving me Ritalin with statements of saying it my childhood adhd was exacerbated by my sTBI. I'm mad at myself I stopped taking it when I was around 12 years old I did fine in school and was in honors classes and then while in the Marines I was Marine of the quarter and class leader of my MOS school. When I awoke from the coma I was never the same again always fatigued and losing things. Is this my final dx other then I'm already SC for PTSD and residuals of a TBI? I just fear the meds will mess with my head over time and my blackouts will come back with my Dizziness. Does anyone else have a sTBI or mTBI with an adjustment disorder?
  15. Honestly get the head injury service connected first everything else will fall into place. I had the same issue my first PTSD exam made no mention of head injury they denied . But when I got that service connected they granted me Dizziness and lightheadedness migraines and they lumped PTSD in with in. I'm still on the battle of separated my PTSD but it won't be anytime soon. How long has your fight been going with the VA?
  16. Awaiting denial in the mail online status update shows denial
  17. Call this number and ask them (202) 530-9470 call between 9 and 1030 they usually pick up in under 10 but wait until the 17 minute hang up to call again 1100-100 no point in trying 100-330 usually picked up in under 15 minutes. Let me know what the hiccup was?
  18. It's just processing your award are you awarded some back pay sometimes a trick I learned is when your under manage compensation section and you click on disabilities it will show you what current and what's pending. Go to your historical claims button click see if your claim is on there another shot is go in to file a new claim keep clicking to where it tells your current disabilities that should be your new current list. Last shot is click on the letter generator button to generate your current amount to see what your new payment is sometimes it is sometimes it's not just a suggestion to try ....
  19. Dont forget to convert your files to .pdf for documents or .jpg for pictures. I kept getting upload errors message until I switched them over...
  20. Yes if they are accredited, like the one I have I know definitely does
  21. I know now this could mean both but when I ask the DDS rep what she used for my claim she said 11.18 TBI and 12.02 organic mental disorder. Hope that's mean first shot one kill!!!
