    I have only seen ONE M.D. ina VA Hospital so far, the Psychiatrist. Every other person has been a A.R.N.P. or Techie. The VA doesn't just have a Doctor shortage, it has a shortage of Give-A-Damn.

    the one thing that this whole "FDC" bullshit does is make me irritated at an already egregious system. it's a slight bit fear mongering to cause panic and disorder to a Vet, WHO obviously needs help since we're signing up for Disability and all. guess what, you don't NEED a year to put together a well thought out and itemized claim. That whole, you better do it in a year or your screwed thing is B.S. The only system i've EVER seen take nearly a year to get paperwork filed is THE GOD DAMN VA take your TIME, you'll be fine. never allow anyone to send anything to anywhere without you at least triple checking it.     Wow, totally blows me away how shit is so different on west coast, guess they think a shuttle between two hospitals 9 miles apart counts as transportation. I was told VA mandatory appts only at my local. I really appreciate the info, glad to stand corrected

    You wont be paid for ANY travel to and from a VA Hospital unless it is demanded of you by the VA(i.e. C&P Exams)

    Also, before 2003 or 2004 all Mental Health was actually considered Behavioral Health. If you write to you NPRC(mine is St Louis), and you ask for medical records they may not show up, try for Behavioral Health Records. Good Luck

    Just to reitterate, these opinions are based on my own experience. When you have a Claim in, don't file New claims. They would looooove to kick it back "downstairs" for the slightest reason. Keep your Focus on TARGET

    So, as of now in 50% Scheduler Rated. My Lawyer's Case Manager swears up down left and right that i will receive 70%Sched, 100TDIU and T&P I am only 33 years old. Here's some info: I have been out for 16 years. Grand total of earnings BEFORE TAXES, $116K Averaged out by 16 years, 7,625.50 a year. Only 4 of those 16 years in total did i breach the Poverty Line. 2 years were 0, you know, while i was homeless I have attended and droped out of College 2x I have Vocational Skill training as a Phlebotomist 2 I unfortunately also have drug and assault charges, misdemeanors yes, but hospitals wont even give a "criminal" a interview. So we shall see, Age is not something they are Currently using as a basis for TDIU, but always remember! Every claim no matter what percent should have a "Infered" claim to TDIU, in both Chapters A) AND B) of the regulations concerning TDIU, so ALWAYS file a NOD upon receiving your Bennies Award Letter!!!

    No matter how you go about further please know this, ALWAYS rock the phUken Boat. Any VSO who tells you differently is a Schill for the VA. Trust me, get rid of him I don't care how "nice" or "efficient" he is.VSO's are like crabs, there's more out there.Never ever ever quit.

    So, very importantly. If that Psychologist was NOT employed by the VA, you are already looking at an automatic denial. P.TS.D. is LITERALLY, the only disease that the VA Claim system has this rule for. Sorry, facts is facts. Here's what you do, go to your closest VA Hospital, and get on a list to see a VA Psychologist, no outside contractor, don't settle for a "Counselor" or even a PSYCHIATRIST unless he also has a PhD in Psychology. Take the work you have now, read it, make sure you feel as both those reports accurately portray you, memorize it, then sit on it. It's worthless, never give the VA more than they ask for per Each single claim. What you do is get inside the system, be honest, don't lie to your VA Psychologist about those other Rex, but tell him you have a Psy Dx, but it's worthless for reasons of getting you yourr lawful compensation. If you are straight up with him in the front, he will remember, but now tou have to move on. Get your help from him, do as he asks.because not only are you fighting to get your Claim done correctly, but also the MAIN goal is to you better brother, Not PERFECT, but we are all here with you in the trenches.     Admin, please remove the accidental copy of this Post. to begin the Post SC-Service Connected SSC-secondary to SC(your shattered knee progresses to say, hardcore disfiguring arthritis up through your hip and all the way down to your toes) Even though a "shattered knee" is your Service Connection, this is by a competent doctor given a Nexus to your Hip Arth. ASC-Agravated BY Service Connected Sched-Abbreviation of Scheduler, it's not a VA temp agency secretary, it is a percentile based rating of how the VA is by law required to compensate you for damage. But, some of us have a 60 or 70% Scheduler Rating, yet we receive 100% Disability Rate for different reasons

I only surf forums and give opinions and such to things that relate to me personally and my Battle with the VA I wanted to get not only all of these tags talked about, but i would hope to be able to at least get all of those abbrvs broken down for the people that come to this site in need I have noticed a lot of us old hats talk to each other in a comfortable, approachable, yet sometimes maybe even un-understandable to those who aren't in our War with the Rap-i um, mean Rating Officers Some of the people stopping by here for well deserved and needed help may not even be Vets, but their Spouses, their guardians, and most Unfittingly too often their Widows I hope to try to build a little Pist, wher if someone came here, they would have, oh, lets say a nice rusty ass old anchor to grip on to, you know, to help them ride out this Hellacious Hurricane of a system we face Add any word, phrase, Article or Chaptet number of any Law, Rule, Regulation that you would like to help pass on, well, not only the cold logical definition, but tye way it helped you in YOUR Battle. i want this thread to be open and honest, but please, don't get lost and sidetracked trying to impress the community, if a discussion blooms from seeds planted here, take your conversation to the Mail system, and coax them to sproutlings on your own dime, and come back with your Harvest of Ideas. The VA can only xxxx us as individuals. Remember, nearly a hundred years ago, when people REALLY figured out how democracy can work for the minority within the majority, Prohibition was passed, and that is because of Soldiers of Ideals. Our issue is, the VA makes us literally be the David to their Goliath. They demand that we beg for our scraps. Very few Vererans are in the position to demand their Just Compensation because first off, we are broken. Assailed by disabilitys they expect us to fight. Alone! They punish us horribly with Time, and indifference......they teach us to Hate the individuals in their system, Whistleblowers ignored except when it boosts Ratings yet never allowing us Veterans ourselves the ability or TOOLS to help OURSELVES. i dont want someone coddling me, i can repair my own engine given time and proper tools. No way in Hell am i gonna try to pull impacted lugnuts off with my teeth now am I?     A dual edged sword indeed. We would run the risk of having our shitty yet guaranteed-by-Law healthcare, and to throw it into a medicaid-like system would be just be bringing us as perilously close to having it taken away at a later date Just a quick jog to the memory of those veterans who were paying attention to the political chaos that was the whole "privatize social security" bullshit. Not even 10 years later Wall Street kicked the pig, and retirements and 401(k)'s and Mortgages were wiped out. Imagine if SS had been in the "capitalist" model. More people would have gone into destitue poverty as in the first Freat Depression. So, my hope, NO, don't force us who are so poor on their meager incomes to count on a mixed-slapdashed-together piece of legislation that Obamacare and even the recent Congressional VA overhaul have proven that nothing we used to breathe safely thinking can save us, ends up becoming another tradeable feature of American StockHolders bent-over-a barrel style of Healthcare......whew, sorry

    Here is how it works. You file on say, July 4th. Your first VA payment will be theoretically "paid" August 1st. The VA always pays you on the first of the month, to compensate you for the previous month of being disabled. They aren't going to givenyou money,per se next month as if you "Might" miraculously he "Cured". They will give you your Retro because you WERE found to be disabled all of those LITERAL years they slowly hacked at us in the trenches of VA beauracricy and unaccountability. So what if there's a new Sec of VA, Hydras only grow more talking heads. The problem with the system is they make us sit up, shake paws, and play dead to get what we are actually Legally entitled to. This mentallity amongst all of us Troops who havent stoped fighting yet needs to be changed. Everybone of our Wins makes it easier for another.

    No, i am rewarded for Persistent Depressive Disorder. My first Claim was for PTSD with Anger and Depression. they kicked it out cuz i got phukt by a state paid VSO. my lawyer has informed me of what he's going for, it's solid, the only evidence i needed was right in the very C&P Exsm that gave me Hell lol. i got approved the day after my C&P, got my retro 2 days later in the bank lol. and i sent them a copy of my Social Security Statement, you know so they can get me TDIU by the standards of the Law. my lawyer also sent alllllll my records to a Vocational Rehabilitation Expert who also Testify's before the BVA, SS Judges, etc....so i will in the end, maybe a couple years from now Rated 100% P&T Disabled and enjoy the added benefits of it. but till then, i creep around here and literally give out my opinions on shate. im going for 70%

    so hello, let me start, ONLY A VA PSYCHOLOGIST CAN MAKE A DIAGNOSIS OF SERVICE CONNECTED PTSD. this is as solid as ROCK, and not even BVA as far as i am aware of has made ANY exceptions to this one "disease". i am a nasty old cynic so here's what i am gonna say about your Posted Question, then i'll spout off a lot of shit that may make some think i've been fighting the VA for the 16 years i've beeen out of service. nah, only about 2 years of fighting under my belt, but also, i have the weight of every Vet both past and present on my outcome as well, Why? simple, the more of us that win the better odds of us who deserve our Service Connections and Schedular Ratings of winning as well. because we have the experience of those who came before, and the ones who share the Trenches with you today. i literally do not use the VA Medical system that isn't Life Altering. i get vaccines, pills, ointments, salves, whatever. but all my mental health and medication management is done through Civilians. you wanna know why this is how i live? Because the VA Disability system is Hell, and it is literally killing us. if they were civilians NO insurance company would cover services....malpractice Insurance alone would prevent them from even being viable outside of D.o.D. so yeah, get used to fighting dirty. What are our tools you ask? Knowledge, focus, Integrity, and most of all, PERSISTANCE. you are entitle by law compensation, it's Workers Comp for us Vet's who got phukt. they have sooo many delaying tactics, that when you make your first mistake, it only adds time to your whole process. what i am trying to get at, is that my knee-jerk reaction to your question is this, on a primal level.What exactly is the RO looking for? My opinion, any glaring and blatant reason they can find to kick it out. serious, it's an Art form. i once watched someone on a video who was a supposed Rating Officer, the topic was T.D.I.U. She quoted the Law, and Rules, and Regulation, and in the Comments section someone had blatantly pointed out how she had glaringly and obviously left out section B) , A very important section for those of us who can't squeak up past 50%, you know, the 5 and 0 really does get tossed out there to first time Claim winning Vets. it makes me think a RO Cadence is "5-0 Is our Tricky No!" so yeah, sorry if this seems dark, but the truth of the matter is, not many Vets have the ability and know how to apply the Laws and such. too many of us took the mentality, that we were ASKING for something we had earned by an Oath and Affirmation. These are OURS ladies and gentlemen, it's a PERCEPTION we need to begin to incorporate how we deal with the VA. too long have they told Congress and the American people that they were gonna be Big Br---Papa and take care of us Vets, how condescending and vitriolic. we mostly can take care of ourselves, IF GIVEN THE DAMN TOOLS WE NEED. i say we start to act like who we really are, people who earned what is our, that if the LAW is on our side, it is not only morally, politically, and Constitutionally reprehensible.

    Well put gentelman, i just 100% prefer to have any exam that can determine the fate of my future WITHIN the VA system itself, therefore nothing can "accidently get lost in transit"....but then again, i'm paranoid anyways, at least it has a slightly healthy reasoning behind it hah haha
