You are not guaranteed 4 years of free college. You are eligible to receive the CH 35 monthly payment which is currently $1298 but will be increasing. This may or may not cover the entire expense of the college you attend.

Current, time per VA website for an average claim is 106.4 days.

I didn't think that the VA was working any Hypertension under Pact Act until 1 Jan 2023.

What does the decision letter state as the reason for denial? That is the exam but they could be denying for something else.

A non-retired disabled Veteran can still use the commissary, PX/NEX and MWR. You don't need to be retired.

Burial benefits and military funeral
asdf replied to 14R's question in VA Disability Claims Research
The VA cemetery will usually have contacts about who performs the honors in your local area and then you can contact them to coordinate. -
It will depend on the effective date he was awarded the 100%. Even though he was granted it after his death the date could still be 10years ago.

(CAVC|BVA) Remands & (10) year rule in effect.
asdf replied to Oakley's question in VA Disability Claims Research
Most high blood pressure is controlled by medicine. I deal with veterans everyday with it dating back to the 60s and 70s and I guarantee they are not long dead.- 45 replies

Once a claim is ready for decision, it typically takes 1-3 months before the decision letter is generated from what I am seeing lately.

Just filed a BDD claim, is a virtual exam normal?
asdf replied to Deagle's question in Veterans Compensation & Pension Exams
You will not go through a military facility for your exams. Most are conducted by third party contractors and in a rate occasion maybe a VA clinic. Your VSO should have explained the process, timeline, and expectations in detail before you left their office. -
Looking for information on DOEHRS
asdf replied to Riplip's question in VA Disability Claims Research
This is a horrible take on the process for multiple reasons. They VA does not go through the file sent from St. Louis to remove pages of medical documents. The VA is not an opponent. -

What would you do? C/P QTC medical?
asdf replied to Richard1954's question in Veterans Compensation & Pension Exams
QTC has to verify who you are before dealing with HIPPA information, its not unprofessional. -
What would you do? C/P QTC medical?
asdf replied to Richard1954's question in Veterans Compensation & Pension Exams
You can have a VSO with VBMS look into your record and see what the exams are for. I know where I am that the VA hospital does not do C&P exams anymore as that takes treatment time away from patients. -
Your VSO can check in VBMS and then look to see the next suspense date which will let you know what they are working on and when it will be addressed. Your VSO can also call the VSO hotline to ask them to move it forward if it is stuck or file a 4138 stating it is not being worked on and for them to assign it to someone to address the reason for stagnation.

BVA Claim
asdf replied to MFZ's question in Appealing Your Veterans Compensation Disability Claims NOD, DRO, BVA, USCAVC
The VA is working to clear the legacy appeals out of the system this year. As of the last report, I saw there were not going to make it but the majority of judges are working legacy vs AMA. -
Make sure to read the evidence used section on your decision letter to ensure that they did review the new information when making their decision. If they did not then it is an easy appeal.

63Charlie: Everything you stated in 1-4 is you you you. Not the veteran who posted. So this is your experience and doesn't mean all have it that way. Whodat: I can see my exams through a VSO with VBMS access

Not True. The majority of examiners are honest and upfront. It is this kind of BS that has Veterans anxious and panicked about appointments. Each exam is different and if this one went well leave it be. The veteran was prepared and the examiner was accommodating why stir the pot with the sky is falling one time a band camp stories. Not helping vets with this type of messaging.
