Medicare Co Pay Paid By Tricare?
On another board it was stated that ..."ChampVA covers the annual deductible for Medicare. Usually there will be no cost to you unless..." My question is ... Would Tricare cover the annual deductible for retirees? Would they pay just for the Vet or the family? I can't see why they would pay for the non retiree through ChampVA and not pay for the retiree through Tricare. Joe is getting ready to go on Medicare in June. Would "we" and/or "He" go on Tricare for Life or stay on regular or Tricare Prime? This really get confusing. Thanks, Brenda

Medicare
I am 100% thru the VA and also receive my SSI disability. I now have to decide if I want to take medicare. I will become elegible in April. Will accepting medicare create problems with my VA benefits? I may sound a little gun shy, but I do not want to rock the boat. We all know what it can take to get your 100% and SSI. Thanks, Doc Jay

ptsd Pending Ssd Claim
Hey everyone! Was awarded 100% P/T 3/11/05 based on PTSD. Immediately filed for SSD. They said they'll make a decision on my SSD claim sometime in March. I sent 'em a boatload of documentation; they in turn 'blitzed' me with 2 inches of paperwork in the form of questionaires - fair enough - but instead of focusing on my chronic/severe PTSD core-symptoms SS chose only chose to ask me about my occasional "anxiety-attacks" which are largely controlled by medication tho i still have the occasional anxiety-attack from PTSD 'triggers'. They also sent the lady i live with a questionaire concerning only anxiety-attack. We immediately answered everything on the questionaire …

Appt. At Vamc This Morning
. I had my early morning appt. at the VAMC this morning and it went well and they got me in and out in a flash. However ... I did notice a lot of grumbling about pay & bennies & staffing problems that they are getting and/or having. We all had a litte discussion and I really understood their plight. It was very insightful for me. Have a good day and I am off for a "Root Canal" .. this afternoon. ... Magoo .. aka .. Bill ... ;) PS ... OOOPPPSS .. I put this in the wrong topic area and don't know how to delete it ?? .

Va Enrollment And Champva
Is there any advantage to have a spouse who has ChampVA to enroll in the VA health care system. My VAMC will accept and treat those with ChampVA but I wonder if it is worth the trouble to get enrolled.

tdiu Ssdi Verses 60% With 100% Due To Iu
When my disability got worse, I was fired from employment. After a while of searching for employment, I reapplied for an increase to my disability. I was given 60% with Individual Unemployability (The VA states in the decision I cannot obtain substantial gainful employment due to my disability, and had to be constantly monitored). I also was awarded respite care (seperately) so my wife can pay bills and do other important things. After this I applied for SSDI and was denied because Social Security says I can work, even though the job they said I can do requires driving, whihc I have been told repeatedly by doctors (and it is in my medical report) not to do. My disabi…

Social Security Information
I just got my offical notification of Social Security Benefits next year. Social Security will deduct $ 88.50 each month from my check for Part B. After the increase in Part B my 4.1% Cola is a net 3.1%. Anyway still better than ususal but it seems that Medicare deduction has doubled under the current regime. My real cost of living increase will come as I whack out things I don't have to have.My best wishes to all and hopefully we can survive on what we have.
