PTSD Was upgraded
So in 2018 I recieved a letter stating I was now 100% Va rated. Looks like in 2/2018 the Va combined my TBI @ 40% with my PTSD with alcohol use @ 50% with a secondary sleep apnea 50%(awarded the same day 2/2018) into 1 disability to equal 100%. The TBI effective date was 10/2014 and PTSD 5/2015. There was also a secondary for sleep apnea added the same day the combined rating was approved on 02/2018. They also game me headaches @ 30% and tinnitus @ 10 the same day my TBI was recorded. Do i get back pay since my TBI and PTSD was seperate in 2015 but now combined as one? Thanks in advance.

ptsd QTC EXAM PTSD Increase
I had a QTC exam for a PTSD increase on 1/19 (30 percent currently) The exam lasted 20 minutes at best. First of all the appointment was at 9:30am the doctor did not call me back until 9:45 it appeared she just walked into her office because the computer was still booting and she had her coat on. As I sat down the Doctor asked me what stressors gave me PTSD. I responded with "did the VA give you my MH records?"The doctors exact words were "yes but I need you to tell me so I can build your case for an increase." I gave her a run down on my symptoms and she stopped me after 30 seconds and said "Im going to recommend an increase". The doctor then asked me about my employmen…

CUE
Though a nexus was established by my C&P exam, my claim was recently denied because they said the stressor occurred in my dishonorable period of service. I just filed an appeal, because, as i had stated since i first filed the claim over 10 years ago, that the stressor occurred during my first enlistment, which ended honorably. Is this an example of a "clear unmistakeable error"? This is the decision I received: After reviewing the evidence we are unable to grant service connection for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) due to Military Sexual Trauma (MST) because the claimed stressor occurred during your Other Than Honorable period of service. (38 C…

Records Purged-not sure what to do 1999 PTSD
Hello, I am curious how I should proceed and I will give a little background to my claim.... I was given a Chapter 12 in 1999 for what they called "failure to adapt". Before this I had broken my hip in training and was on crutches for several months ( almost 1yr) I had became very depressed that resulted in me overdossing on my meds and falling down 3 flights of Barracks stairs. I was then rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance where I was medicated and treated for the depression. 1 week later I return to post from the hospital and they finalized out-processing and in 2weeks I was out of the Army and still on crutches. At the time I did not realize it was a …

PTSD/TBI
Hello, I am currently rated @ 60%. 30 for PTSD, 20 for left foot, 10 for right foot and 10 for hearing loss. I put in a claim recently for TBI due to a vehicle explosion I was next to in Iraq in 2011. My memory is horrible and I just never claimed it in my initial claim, so I filed it in December and got 2 buddy statements from 2 other soldiers that were there. The TBI exam they sent me to was 2 hours away and lasted about 10 minutes. It involved asking me about my childhood growing up, any sexual trama as a child and how my relationship is with my parents. I was never abused sexually or physically as a child and I have a fantastic relationship with both of my …

Official VA Training Study confirming PTSD causes many physical problems in vets
Here is VA official training and research study from their National PTSD Center clearly stating the negative effects of trauma PTSD on the physical health of veterans and apparently discusses the many different types physical problems directly related to PTSD. There is another veterans benefits forum run by former VA raters, DROs and VSOs that constantly tell veterans that PTSD does not cause Sleep Apnea and other physical illnesses and this is pure lying BS. They constantly tell vets that their problems are due only to weight gain and or life styles, and or aging and not PTSD or Agent Orange exposure, etc. etc. Of course many raters also ignore their own VA evide…

C&P Exam Diagnosis
Greetings, On my current pending claim, I applied for Anxiety, which I already have a diagnosis and was taking medication. During my C&P exam, the physc doctor said that I had PTSD, depression, and insomnia. Seems to make sense why the medication I was taking was not very effective. Do you think that I will get a rating for the other conditions that was found during my C&P exam or will I have to file another claim? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Increasing Rating how to get an increase
I'm the wife of a Vietnam Vet. He's currently rated @ 130% for back injuries (8 back surgeries), Agent Orange Parkinson's, Tinnitus, & Neuropathy. Has been diagnosed with Chronic PTSD but never wanted to make a claim - afraid they'd take his guns. Have tons of documentation on the VA.gov site in support of claim. He's having a Psych exam this week. Wondering if we should download his medical records for the Psych doc or just upload it to the claim site. Also getting a C&P exam for worsening back, legs & feet. Any thoughts on if he can get @ least a 50% PTSD rating if that will be enough to get him to 100%? He's currently paid @ 80%. So frustrating! Noone …

Filing for Increase or IU... Chances?
It's been about two years since I've posted here. I received a 70% rating for PTSD in 2017. These forums were very helpful to me. Recently I've had another inpatient stay in the psych ward at the VAMC (my third in 15 months) and I'm having more and more difficulty coping with everything. My symptoms are kind of out of control, despite multiple medication changes, and work is becoming more and more difficult every day. I tend to hide in my office, don't talk to people, have breakdowns crying during the day, and generally "exist" and not much else. My work quality has suffered and I'm at the point now where I'm thinking I'm not going to make it to retirement in seven …
