Should I fight for PTSD?
Hello everyone. Some background info: I have a 70% SC rating for Major depression I'm diagnosed with Major depression and unspecified anxiety disorder. My LCSW said that I suffer from PTSD and that my depression and anxiety are all symptoms of it. She was baffled as to why the VA has not added PTSD to my problems list. Should I even bother with getting this changed to PTSD , or hold what I got?

Reevaluation
Hello all haven't posted on here in a while. A few weeks ago I was getting phone calls from a non va agency to schedule an exam. At first I was shocked. I have been 100% total for ptsd since march of 16 previously was 70% from 2007 until I was rated 100 in 2015. I also have 10% for tbi 10% for TBI and had my migraines increased from 0 to 30% sometime earlier this year. Thats an overview of everything I have. So should I be worried that the VA scheduled me a reeval before 5 years? I have been getting treatment on and off and been on medicine on and off the last for years and this kinda blindsided me.I already completed the appointment and I cannot find any notes on my…

Question About PTSD Re-Eval
I'm sorry if I am posting in the wrong place. I wasn't sure where this should go. I am prior Air Force, combat action medal from Iraq, blah, blah. Lots of issues from Iraq and base football, and other stuff. I am 100% SC schedular, non P&T. I am 70% PTSD, 40% back, 20% for each leg bilateral radiculopathy, and a bunch of 10% ratings on my feet, knees, hands, etc. I went to my first and only C&P for PTSD back in March 2019, so I have only been SC for PTSD for 4 months or so. I recently filed claims for several other conditions (Sleep Apnea secondary to wt gain from PTSD and other disabilities, Fibromyalgia for Gulf War, Migraines from Gul…

Increasing rating questions.
Good morning everyone, This is my first post as member, I've read these forums for some time. But anyways, I'm a former 0311 USMC 2 combat tours in afghanistan, discharged honorably in 2012. I initiated my claims and was granted 30% for PTSD with insomnia in 2013, had my re-eval in feb of 2018. I have been treated with sleep meds and had a few therapy sessions, got back 30%. I was fearful to appeal because of the horror stories of decreased ratings. I've read through the different ratings and based on the symptoms it appears I should fall in the 50 percentile range, maybe 70%. I've been started on SSRI's for my symptoms, I don't seek therapy through the VA be…

PTSD and Gainful Employment
I am currently rated at 100% P and T for PTSD with SMC. I have withdrawn my SSDI application with the Social Security Office, because I plan to work from home (Family Owned Business). Will this affect my VA compensation??

Where Are You Private Gonzalez, A-2-4, Basic Combat Training, 1979, Fort Knox
Mr. Gonzalez, If you ever see this.... I witnessed a personal assault against you by a Drill Sergeant after you collapsed from what appeared to be heat exhaustion while running PT. I witnessed this Drill Sergeant grab you by your boot when you were lying semi-conscious on the asphalt and drag you down that paved, hot asphalt road with your head and face dragging along on the asphalt. While this assault was being perpetrated, our unit was ordered to run circles around you while this animal was dragging you along on the asphalt of the road, head down. This helpless recruit was moaning in agony and I remember him sobbing. All the while, the Drill Sergeant…

VA Psychologist not reporting
Reluctantly I have been seeking treatment at the VA for my PTSD. I was reading over the notes of my psychologist and she did a PTSD screening of me and she is misreporting or not reporting things that I stated during our last session. I told her that I was having nightmares about being in the military and that all I could remember was I was feeling scared and angry and during recent events, I felt as if I was reliving my past experiences. What can I do in this situation?

PTSD due to MST no C&P exam?!
Hello! I've applied for PTSD due to MST. E benefits says it was received May 5th. Initially it said the "estimated completion date" was late Dec 2019. Yesterday it changed to Aug 2019. I still haven't been contacted for a C&P exam! I have multiple markers, medical records, and two nexus letters, so I thought it was a fairly strong case. My question is, has anyone here been awarded a rating for PTSD without a C&P? My nexus was from a VA dr, not sure if that helps or not. I'm just trying to figure out if this is a good thing, or if I should prepare for a denial. Thanks in advance!

How to win 100 P&T for PTSD_MST
Currently has 70% for PTSD (90% combine with others) but recently put in for 100 (P&T) increase on the PTSD via a claim agent. Are there any lay statement samples out there for a co-worker and spouse to follow? and will another C&P be ordered when the previous one for 70% was only 14 months ago? That exam didn't have the whole picture becasue I was holding back a lot due to fear of being taken away, the examiner made me feel very uncomfortable about the MST, so the goal now is to get to P&T so there will be no more future exams.

Tinnitus Secondary to PTSD due to SSRIs
I've recently been SC for PTSD at 70%. I've been seeing a VA therapist and psychiatrist for the past 2 years and since I've been on SSRIs, I've had increasingly bad tinnitus. According to the psychiatrist, I'm in a small group of people who experience tinnitus as a result of SSRI use. I've been on a total of three different SSRIs and all of them cause tinnitus. When I've ramped up in dosage, the tinnitus also goes up. So we've tried different prescriptions at different dosage to manage my anxiety while limiting the tinnitus. While I can notice some differences in the intensity of the tinnitus, it has been constant since I started this regimen. So can I claim ti…

Social security disability for PTSD but the VA has me rated at 30%
Hi, I have been rated at 30% for PTSD since 2005 (60% total). In 2015 I lost my job and after a year social security found me eligible for social security disability benefits based on PTSD. I have not worked since. In 2018 I filed a claim for increases on several things but not for PTSD. At the same time, I was trying to get the VA to add depressive order to my list of service-connected items as I had the diagnosis for it. The VA then re-evaluated me for PTSD and said I was still at 30% and denied all my increases. I had never told the VA or the rater about social security finding me disabled due to PTSD. I appealed the VA decisions regarding the increases they denied me …
