  1. i had my headaches:migraines increase C&P I think it went ok I gave him my prescription from the VA doctor for pain meds for my headaches and this cefaly Shock pad I use at night before bed. I told him about the breaks I take at my new temp job I was able to get when my old employer said they were going to give me a reasonable accommodation for my disabilities. I said it not a permanent job and they can fire me at any moment if I make a another mistake, as I have made 2 in 3 weeks and big ones that cost the company money. I'm hoping this increase is enough to get me 100% it's currently at 0% with my total at 90%. This was also I think a TBI review for unemployability he asked me allot of my memory I said I'm scared I'm going to get someone harmed working on aircraft the last place I worked out me on unpaid medical leave until I got better. I'm as good as it's going to get doctors tell me just live with it. So I had to resign so I can pay my pregnant wife's medical. Does this sound like I have a shot at anything higher then 0 percent? Not to sure how the employability works out or what you even have to show?
  2. Be careful with accommodation they could decide to put you on a unpaid medical leave as that's what American Airlines did to me and said I could pay for my own benefits out of pocket forcing me to resign. Just watch how the doctor fills this request out and make sure your not a collective bargaining agreement Union. They have different rules with seniority trumping everything and it makes everything you think is reasonable unreasonable to the employer. I actually just went through this 2 months ago.
  3. I am thinking about P&T after my doctor explained what it was to me I have just been fighting for 100% because I thought it meant benefits for family but apparently it doesn't unless your PT. I am 70 TBI/PTSD/ Memory loss/lapses 30 dizziness and lightness 30 scars 20 shoulder injury 10 foot injury 10 tinnitus 0 finger injury 0 percent migraines If I lose this temp job which could happen if I make another mistake its acceptable now because I just started and learning they said. But Vie been doing maintenance on helicopters for over 10 years my learning curve wont ever be over. once they realize this I am gone. I didn't tell them about my TBI which I did at American Airlines and was put on a medical unpaid leave permanently forcing me to resign. My wife's pregnant and my anxiety if it wasn't on high alert from people making me paranoid, baby stress, keeping health benefits by keeping job, and navigating this VA system. I have a C&P exam for my migraine increase which at the least should be 30 I get them at least every other day if not daily, I was prescribed pain killers for them from the VA and shock therapy from them for the migraines. What exactly will get an increase anythings better then 0? Do I request for PT to the doctor on Saturday apparently he specializes in PTSD which is a first for me my 2 exams were done while ago by VA hacks? Also should I ask to get it separated from my TBI it was already at 70 before they lumped PTSD with It? But that virtually impossible I cannot remember my TBI or4 months for that matter I'm on panic mode right now and need help.Pleeaasee!!
  4. Well I guess I should have known they would do this. My accident was TBI was 2006 my deployment was 2009. The physiatrist said she couldn't tell the difference between the two even though there 3 years in between my deployment and my TBI/coma. My VA primary doctor tells me to bring the 7 MRIs from 2007 and then the video of my friend dieing from an IED in IRAQ IN 2006. At first they told me it was depressive disorder in 2014 and then PTSD in 2016 but lumped it as a TBI residual. If it was a residual of my TBI I have no memory of my accident so how is this possible? I have in my lumped residuals is amenesia from my accident about 4 months of lost memories or out in a coma for one of those months? I do remember my deployment and the long days of being on high alert on fire guard and driving a Humvee on the base the same way my friend did in 2006 except I was the driving in the Humvee this time. I have another C&P Saturday for my TBI the second in 5 months. Is it possible I can get it un lumped from my TBI it is totally two different issues?
  5. I'm not 100% I'm only 90% one of my issues is 70% and has been for 6 years I have a analysis from a company citing doctors opinions and there analysis take of my income loss per year for the rest of my life. But the evidence in there is citing the doctors saying my TBI is now a permanent status after two years it was stated in the hospital that I'm as good as it's going to get with my headaches TBI and now PTSD tied in with that. So a single issue by itself cannot be permanent without being 100%? I am confused I thought I could be 70% PT with no future exams for that one issue and then my 7 other service connected issues total 100%?
  6. Can a issue be PT and it only be rated 70 not 100?
  7. My TBI was joined by military doctors in 2008 as being permanent and then was physically fit to deploy in 2009. In 2010 got out wasn't service connected until 2016 so now I suggested to make it permanent and total like my doctors said it was and again in 2012 and 2015. I have all this document so when I go to my exam next Saturday I can show him. With my TBI review and my headaches being review I believe I could be 100% , I am 90% currently I am not requesting TDIU just PT for my TBI so no more exams it has been the same since 2008 in the military doctors have said it is what it is and that it won't get any better, especially my short term memory. I have currently found a temporary job to pay for my pregnant wife's and daughters medical, will working a temporary job effect my exam and possibly achieving 100% PT? And if not will continuing this temp job cause me to lose my PT rating? I know I can't work if I'm TDIU but is that the same as 100% PT?
  8. I was just thinking I'd be a different person then I am today had I be eligable to receive the care I deserved 6 years ago. But now my problem is permanent and the money just covers the amount of time I spent emailing, going to the VA, and obsessing what might happen as if we didn't know it was going to be a denial for half my remaining life.
  9. That dude is an idiot this is why even though I had an attorney I emailed everyone. I filed my motion two months after I filed my appeal please don't listen to your guy.
  10. I am still new to the IU PT process. I was tired after winning the six year battle to get service connection for my TBI. Now my primary VA doctor said he believes I should be PT for my TBI rated at 70% at the least after six years of my initial C&P it has remained unchanged. So I filed for an increase for my headaches since I get them daily and have been seeking treatment from my Va doctors for the last three months which was rated at 0%. right foot strain (claimed as right foot contusion) 10% Service Connected 07/12/2010 left index strain, residual of avulsion fracture left index finger 0% Service Connected 07/12/2010 scar tracheostomy due to ventilator dependence 30% Service Connected 07/12/2010 residuals of traumatic brain injury with cognitive disorder, short term memory losses/lapses, difficulty sleeping, problem solving with PTSD (to include cerebral contusion with diffuse axonal injury to bilateral frontal and temporal lobes) 70% Service Connected 07/12/2010 Tinnitus 10% Service Connected 07/12/2010 dizziness and lightheadedness 30% Service Connected 05/25/2016 headaches 0% Service Connected 07/12/2010 left shoulder impingement syndrome with supraspinatus tendinitis (claimed as dislocation of left shoulder with popping) 20% Service Connected 07/12/2010 Individual Unemployability 10/24/2016 NEW Headaches 09/05/2016 INC APPEAL Active Deep Vein Thrombosis (claimed As Blood Clots In Left Leg) 08/19/2016 REP Basilar Skull Fracture (claimed As Neck Fracture) 08/19/2016 REP New Claims Fracture(s) Pelvis NEW Ptsd (post Traumatic Stress Disorder) NEW Temporary Total Disability NEW It has been expedited since I have lost my 5 job in 1 year and have lost insurance for my pregnant wife. I have been service connected for my PTSD but I seeking a seperate rating from my TBI, I am at 90% with all my 8 issues. So do I have to ask in writing to be PT my appt is on Dec 4? My VA doctors have written me doctors notes to print off Ebenefits and of course I have hospital records but I am still nervous. My doctor says no worries I have looked up your doctor your case should be easy to show its perment.
  11. Thank I also have my VA primary doctor helping me he believes I should have been PT when my appeal was won and backdated from 2010. He said print my Ebennie's doctor notes from my records. He put in a consult to have an MRI to be done in the next week. I am so confused what PT means? I know what it means but what am I allowed to do I suffered my TBI when I was 20 I am only 30. But struggle trying to provide for my family having to resign medically from my last job and have it documented from American Airlines. I am trying a contract job which I know means I'm only a temp position. I am hoping for this claim to be enough to help me with my family but am afraid they will say sorry you can be 100 but your not PT. I know this doctor has ths the credentials because I had my VA doctor look into it. If this does happen does this mean I cant work at all? Even if its just volunteering just to keep busy.
  12. I'm on the same boat my TBI is 70%, my 0% migraines have worsened in the last 6 years and now more recently I've been seen by my neurologist, primary, and an ER doctor for them with prescribed Ibuprofen 800mg twice a day. I applied for IU and asked for PT my C&P is Dec 3 for my claim. Not to sure of what to bring I'm having an MRI done so the doctor can see the 3.25 cyst that still remains in my brain from my TBI. This C&P is for the headaches and a review of my TBI I really don't understand this. I've had a C&P in May 2016 for my TBI.i guess I'm nervous I don't know what to bring or if I'm bringing everything I tend to forget things unless I plan ahead. Is there anything else I should bring?
  13. So I thought if I was 100% scheduler my family could get benefits. My attorney told me otherwise "You will be covered by VA, but even with a 100 percent rating, your spouse and child are not covered by VA. If you are ruled to have a 100 percent permanent and total rating, then you are eligible to have your family convered by CHAMPVA." Is it possible to be rated at 100% but not perment and total?
  14. Lost this battle and was forced to resign
  15. I'm on the same boat with two C&P awaiting to be scheduled through Veteran Evaluation Services, to see if they can make me 100% scheduler that would make my IU claim moot. They said your 90% and have a lot of claims open, also my claims been expedited again due to not working yet again this time American Airlines stated in a letter I gave to the VA that I am placed of Medical Leave unpaid until I get better. I know I wont be back so I had to resign its been 10 years since my TBI its not going to magically get better overnight which is what they were hoping and the doctor wrote my working on 3rd shift is worsening my short term memory. He said put to work between 530 am -1130PM anything in between. Of course they denied it, pulled me out of work, stop paying me, forced to pay for medical out of pocket with a pregnant wife, and offered me a job making less then half what I was making. Now I had to go through Obamacare was worried about Trump but he announced he would be keeping the part of not being denied medical insurance if pre existing condition is shown like being pregnant.
  16. The call was to tell me my TBI is getting another review with PTSD and migraines to see if they can increase it instead of going the TDIU I said ok. Can you do Saturday I said sure she said ok your set then for your review o wait this is for a TBI. This doctor isn't certified for TBI just PTSD she said she will have to call me back. I said call me back so I'm not hanging if you didn't find anyone. This was 3 hours ago don't they look into this before they call me? Anyone know anyone in the Philadelphia or Delaware certified to separate TBI's and PTSD from each other? VA will drag feet before I get it from them this is after my claim has been expedited.
  17. My doctor has opined that my head injury has caused my insomnia and is exacerbated due to night shift. Minus staying up for 3 days at a time sleeping for 2 then back on that schedule my supervisors said I am an amazing worker. But HR deemed me a safety of flight and not allowed to work on aircraft at night anymore. My job is not a oud to make reasonable accommodations due to union contract. So now being in aviation it is hard finding any form of jobs during the hours my doctors both opined forcing me to resign from my last job and be unemployed. I just had Veteran Evaluation Services and a HR VA rep tell me it looks like they are trying to increase my % so TDIU would be moot I am currently 90% and will have a raise in % on my headaches which is currently at 0%. How can you get Permanent and total for a TBI that has been service connected and rated for over 6 years at 70%? I have been connected for both headaches/migraine and TBI as a separate rating I have been to the ER and two different doctors for pain killers for headaches they occur every morning until I take the meds, is it possible if they combined the two it will make it 100%?
  18. I'm currently at 90% and currently told my claim for TDIU will be granted and is being expediated because of hardship and my pregnant wife. Current employer is forcing me to resign but am currently on Medical unpaid Leave due to my disabilities this is a union environment collective bargaining so they don't have to accommodate my shift. I have resigned yet because I have medical through the company but to keep it I have to pay out of pocket. I'm not being paid on this leave and am stressing out. If I leave get TDIU I won't be able to afford Obamacare and my mortgage when it goes up in January let along food to eat. What's the deal I was also told my migraines might be increase but am going into a C&P for it within the month I'm rated at 0% service connected with migraines daily ER visits and pain killers prescribed with a Cefaly device. I don't know what I've started I'm know finally getting treatment from Polytrauma for my TBI. Thought things were looking up doing well at my Job at Amercian Airlines until the doctors sent in a request for a reason accommodation resulting in my unpaid leave now I'm xxxxxx. That's the short version of my issues I just want to provide for my family for their continued healthy life I don't care if it kills. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do or what might happen if I do except IU my TBI is being reviewed for unemployability? Should I see in the review if possibility of separating my PTSD from my TBI can be done?
  19. Prazosin was the first they put me on then hydoxycine and now temazepam! So I hope for thr best being a pill proper is not how I wanted to spend my entire civilian life out of the military. Very disappointing
  20. Mine had a hardship granted, then grant at 90 but remanded two others then denied those and back to the appeal except no financial hardship.
  21. I am terrified to take this after the reviews but the first 2 drugs did nothing so I'll try. The last drug caused me to have nightmares and hit my wife in my sleep she was pregnant that time and is pregnant again with our second. I have to try it I havent slept in a few days. Wish me luck.
  22. I am sorry I've been off the radar I've just been super focused the last few months on my family after my obsessing for two years on my claim. But I am still to this day getting help from Ted Ebert, the man is an asset to all claims although it might take a week to answer, he answers. He said he had a new role but I just randomly emailed him again with another compant and 5 days later he answered and not general counsel so I am assuming they needed his help again and put him back in his role. His email is ted.ebert@va.gov he helps with appeals and claims but not with the healthcare complaints as far as I know. After your write your email as I did, proof read it l, have a wife or husband read it before you send it. I have been told I have no empathy so if I didn't I'm sure I would have been given the middle finger!!
  23. I am confused the VA has just told me I can work my Union job because I have reasonable accomadations keeping me employed there. They want to get me P&T relating mostly for my TBI.
