  1. Papa, Is yours some sort of an appeal? I would be happy if I just had 50, 60, 70, 80.........some sort of %.
  2. You are doing good though. I have 8 contentions plus Tdiu. Filed original claim Jan 23, 2011. C&P July 6,2011 and Nov 1, 2011. Prep for decision on Dec 14, 2011 and it has stalled out there (needs a jump start).
  3. Medic, I always get that message on about the VA letters because I don't have any letters to download. Congrats on nearing completion. Btw, how many contentions did you file? I am still waiting and filed my claim on Jan 23, 2011. Through the most backlogged in the nation............Houston.
  4. Brother, I feel your frustration and I as well as many others can relate. I have waited 37 years to begin this claims process and am waiting to at least get my "initial" service connection. All these years I have worked until I can no longer work through the pain and anguish. The 37 is not my age, that is how many years ago that I enlisted at the age of 19. So I am really anxious to get what I rightfully earned. As far as your claim goes, I have seen on this forum where others' claims have gone back to "gathering of evidence" and within a few days was back to notification. Good Luck to you!
  5. A friend of mine claimed it took 3 to 4 weeks after she filed the hardship to get a decision. She's an oif/oef vet. My vso said my hardship was picked up by Varo from his office on April 13. According to him, my claim "will move much faster." We shall see.....
  6. Another date added to the scanning of my claim file by the rater; April 18, 2012. And April 20, 2012. Very interesting....
  7. Thnx MarkInTexas, that surely explains the reason...Btw, which part of Texas are you from in East Texas, north or south?
  8. I just checked ebenefits and something unusual appeared. Under Compensation and Pension status it reads Error We are currently unable to access information about the claims you have filed with VA. If you need help, please call 1 800-827-1000. Is anyone else seeing this same thing on ebenets or right before their claim was decided? Ebenefits is not under maintenance.
  9. I fully agree with not holding your breath waiting on Houston. I sent an inquiry through Peggy on March 12, 2012 requesting response via email with 2 followups and nothing so far. With yours, I would just stay in touch with QTC.
  10. I know the feeling.....I guess now I would think that if you just got the letter perhaps it is Va's intentions to schedule with QTC, but obviously hasn't done so yet. I would give it a few days and follow up with QTC. I was contacted by Qtc in San Antonio my 1st exam and by Qtc out of Corpus Christi for my exam for Ptsd.
  11. Papa, you can always call QTC and find out. Thats what I did after Va sent me a letter stating that they were going to schedule me for an exam. Their main office is in San Antonio. Tel.# 1-800-545-9448 Ext 1446 They are really nice folks. QTC called me before they mailed my appt packet to verify my mailing address and to ask if I live closer to Houston or San Antonio, to schedule the appointment.
  12. I don't know what to say but "Just Unbelievable!" ~~ the Va that is. Is this an IU exam perhaps?
  13. According to my Vso, who is linked up with the "Mapd" system, they are working real hard on my claim. Claim file was scanned on Dec. 12, 13, 19 (went to decision phase Dec. 14) On Jan. 25 scanned by Vsr, Feb. 22 scanned by Rater. Feb. 24 scanned by Vsr. Mar. 1 and Mar. 30 scanned by Rater. And on April 4 and April 12 scanned by a Rater. We shall see......
  14. I filed my original claim with the Houston RO 1/23/2011 with 7 contentions plus Tdiu. First C/P exam was 7/6/2011 and C/P exam on 11/1/2011. It will be 15 months on 4/23/12 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,and still waiting.
  15. I'm looking at the positive side of it, Papa. There is "movement". I have seen on here where others' claims did the same thing and then went to "pending decision approval," then on to notification. At least they are thinking about you in Houston and handling your file. Good Sign!
  16. @UsmcSGTVet which Varo are you with? I am with probably the most backlogged in the nation > Houston. Per my Vso recommendation, today I faxed papers to his office. Please see "Lot of Activity" thread in this forum to include activity on 4/4/2012 with my claim.
  17. Does anyone know approximate timelines for a claim to be finished once "hardship" paperwork has been submitted? Just how quick will it expedite the claim process? Anyone that has done this please respond also. Thnx
  18. @Veldrina..Papa has it downloaded under Compensation and Pension forum. The thread "Va's Re-Evaluation"~~Just trying to help
  19. Congratulations! And Happy Easter!
  20. Veldrina, the claim is being worked on still but no brown envelope yet.
