  1. My psych exam was about 20 minutes long. Have no idea the results was just honest but really nervous. He told me I'd have a decision in about a month.
  2. Today is my psych exam with SSDI. I'm not as nervous about this one as I was with the C and P. Service Connection felt like a fight for justice, this feels less intense.
  3. Have you been to Releas e of Information at the facility you did the examiner at? They may have a copy stored.
  4. Got a reminder letter from Social Security today to go to my psych exam. It said to make sure I confirm the appointmy but I didn't get a call back after leaving a voice mail, guess I'll leave another
  5. Do you have any secondary (physical) conditions tied to your mental health conditions? That may make a difference.
  6. Congrats. Effective date of December 01? Will that affect retro?
  7. Merry Christmas!
  8. You have never been denied right? This is 20 years of remands?
  9. Sorry for what you've been through. Do you plan on getting the private IMO?
  10. Berta what percentage of vets do you think are straight up malingerers? What percent exaggerate symptoms? What percent downplay symptoms? What percent never file a claim even though they could? I know this is an explosive question but you have the knowledge to give an opinion. I am 100% and not stupid and want to go back to work but my Social Worker says I have a lot of work to do on my mental health before considering going back to work and I should not return to work out of a sense of guilt when I'll probably just get fired. This article really riled me up sorry.
  11. My understanding is that while the VA VA has a duty to assist veterans and give the benefit of the doubt to veterans the SocSocial Security administration is supposed to be adversarial and look for ways to deny claims.
  12. Wow, unbelievable. I take this personally. I struggled with the MMPI-2 exam , not because I was malingering but because I felt unworthy and struggled with guilt (and because I have dyslexia and all thosse double negative questions gave me a headache). Luckily I had a good C and P examiner. ththe doctor in this article seems to have ununbelievable contempt for veterans. How many C and P examiners develop this level of cynicism and disdain for the veterans they evaluate? I have heard it said that mental health professionals that do C and P exams are "burned out" on therapy and have a negative view of those struggling with their mental health, this clandestine website seems to validate that belief.
  13. Anyone who has documentation of permanent disability (civilian or veteran) can obtain free access to national parks at www.nps.gov
  14. Congratulations and Happy Holidays.
  15. I know they are strict on deadlines. I got the same thing in the mail as you after that is when I got the special exam notice.
  16. I suspect it's the upcoming C and P that sent it back to prep for notification. Are you satisfied with the 50% and 10%?
  17. I saved my military records after I got out, that is the only thing that saved me in my claim. My service records were no where to be found according to DOD.
  18. 10-30%, I would say 30%,except for the statement at the end saying possible exaggeration of symptoms.
  19. I'm not the expert but I would think you would start with your mental health team at the VA, then file for an increase. The difficulties at work are clear and are a major part of a mental health rating.
