he should be able to easily get the TDUI right now.. I would quit dealing with the VSO.. if he is 80 for his kidney disease he has to be in bad shape, and they must consider that he cant get adequate employment, not just any employment like SS requirements. These VSOs DO NOT like to ask the VA for TDUI or 100 percent..

you have to file a claim first,, and if they deny your claim, then you can hire an attorney to file suit .... so get ready to get the run around..

Wondering how veterans get treated at mississippi RO and VAMC ?

the ROs only seem to contact vets to do harm,, never good. They called me fishing to see if I had proof of filing a dependency claim, once I told them I had proof, they magically found the claim.. now on ebenifits, they have the wrong date of the claim, they have the date they contacted me, not the date I filed. so im sure that will be another popsicle stick they will try to break off in my ass. they are trying to screw the vets out of anything they can it seems,.

Hell a person can have 3 doctorates , and be well qualified for many jobs,, it means nothing though if you cant perform them. dont give them a reason to screw with you.. they are trying very hard to reduce many.. myself included.

bullshit, just tell them what periods you served, and where you got to see the doctor and when and tell him its THIER JOB.to get all that info. Sounds like he is trying to have you submit info to screw yourself.. .they had enough evidence to service connect you and rate you TDIU, they shouldnt need anything else. Do you have any claims pending or a notification to reduce?

you can fax a claim to your local RO or mail it return reciept requested.. if you do get thru and file on ebennies copy the page and filing number and save it.. they seem to have a problem " finding " the claim until you tell them you have proof of filing .

it sucks bro but dont feel like the lone ranger, lots of us are going thru the same trials and suffering. Word is getting around abt the VA methods , and the methods are getting worse. If you have sons or daughter thinking abt joining the millitary, make sure and tell them what to expect from the VA when they get out.. Serving 4 or 8 years for this country can amount to a lifetime of suffering and aggravation.

I view policeman and doctors the same way,, I love and respect an honor a straight cop, but despise A crooked one.. same with doctors.

I believe the va montra is ... CHRONIC DISEASES SHALL ONLY RECIEVE ACUTE CARE. Here is what im seeing.. The primary care doc, who is usually a internal medicine doc, is the holder of the keys of treatment in the VA.. EVERYTHING has to go thru the primary.. If your primary is playing company man, then you will not get the referrals or examinations and tests needed to keep you healthy. If your primary starts squirming when you ask to see a specialist, and he wont refer you, and cant him or herself explain to you what is wrong with you, you may be getting denied care. I think many times, the VAMC doesnt even have the specialist required on staff, and we all know that getting referred to outside doctors is a BIG no no, in VA land. Lets do a little asessment.. Ok VAMC should be the cats meow for doctors to be employed at.. They dont have to keep insurance, which is super expensive in the civillain sector, they dont have to be licensed. AND they cant be sued.. AND they can make close to 200 k a year with a handsome benifits and retirement package..!!!(im sure surgeons make alot more) Break out the balloons and chablis,,, IM GOING WORK FOR THE VAMC.. YEAHHHHH!!! Then when they get there, they realize that it is a politically run system, and the vets are not priority,, The docs must either " conform" to thier ways, and often break thier oath, or quit.. That is the reason for a doctor shortage at the VA.. Professional, caring doctors find it a hard pill to swallow shafting veterans.. this is my personal opinion.

I have had 3 CP exams for the same condition,.. 1st CP doc made major mistake, and I reported it,,, 2nd CP doc was favorable, and then they scheduled me for CP at VAMC and they checked the wrong box, , which I reported and contested,, ,,, the elementary errors that were made make me VERY suspicious.. the rating in question is only 10 percent, but they seem to be hell bent on not granting it.

recently I went pay to see a non va doctor because of the TEMPLE TEXAS VAMC denying me care, and I saw what professional healthcare is. the doctor was caring, precise, unrushed, thorough. attentive, just a great experience and I left in a good mood, unlike almost everytime I go to the VA someone says or does some stupid assenine thing that just enrages me.. I dread going to the VA because I see the big picture of what they are doing to vets, myself included and it just chaps my ass like the desert sun. Its pathetic that im a disabled vet and had to resort to paying out of pocket to counter the lies that my vamc has been using to deny me care.. The doctor shook his head in disgust and laughed at the report that the VA wrote. THAT IS WHY THE VA DOESNT WANT VETS SEEING OUTSIDE DOCTORS, BECAUSE THEY WILL TELL US THE TRUTH!!!

ESPECIALLY if your knocking at the 70 to 100 percent rating. They usually give out either 10, or 40.. if you start going for more they seem to think you are greedy.. Like they are following a metric of keeping a certain number of vets at certain levels no matter what. almost like a slot has to open in order to get granted . I would bet that there is a running list of comp flowing out of the ROs that is regularly reconciled, and if the numbers arent in a certain parameter, then the brakes get put on. you either get denied or have to wait. I would love to be able to see the amounts paid out over the last 10 years at my RO. I would bet the numbers are close year after year, no matter what war is taking place, or peacetime. The hospitals are throttling care, and the ROs are throttling compensation.

Heres my big picture assessment of the VA benefits system as a whole.. They are so ate up, and have lied for so long, it is almost impossible for them to get anything right the first time. You will either be inadequately compensated by either mistakes, or intentional wrongdoing by your RO. If you take the time and effort needed to learn the intracasies of how the system works, and keep up with the constant changes in the system, you can win, if you have legitimate claims. The laws and regulations governing the VA are clearly written in favor of the veteran. The way they get interpreted and implemented at the RO level is the problem. The ROs have a very large and effective bag of tricks they use to thwart your efforts. Your outfoxing them is akin to showing up at a poker game where everybody at the table is working together to cheat you. From the doctors at the VAMCS denying testing and care, to CP examiners goofing up your exams, to regional offices shredding your files, or hiding your files in other vets files, to hiding them in the woods behind RO s. Ok if you manage to make it thru the minefield of those traps, then you get put on the slow train to nowhere and must endure months to years of waiting in a bubble of non information, and disinformation.

Anything connected to the political arena will be corrupt, and the VA being overseen by congress makes it ripe for corruption, and then throw the union aspect in, and its doomed to be fleeced. The roaches in washington know that our country loves its veterans and getting money appropriated is just there for the asking, then they pillage it.

since when does the active army component get involved with discharged veterans 20 years later?? I think they are worried abt getting hit by the terrorist and want to learn more abt the effects.. Nothing to do with helping vets at all. Those units are identified in guidance issued March 20 by Under Secretary Brad Carson where he details the Army's plan to locate active-duty members and veterans of all branches who may need medical support and, in some cases, receive the Purple Heart. The four goals of the Army's review are to "identify, contact and evaluate service members and veterans" who might have been exposed; offer a medical exam to those individuals; document the results in the "individual service treatment records and pass to the Department of Veterans Affairs; and "consider appropriate recognition for [those] with injuries," Carson states. what damned audacity these scoundrels have.. they deny, ignore, lie , manipulate data, decieve, and now they decide they want to see how the guinne pig is suffering,how many have died, ect, so they pull out this " new "' survey, under the guise of helping the veteran.

its all horseshit people, they only want to see how the chemical agents affected those exposed. . the purple heart and benefits is all bullshit. all they want is data. That type of information is quite important and knowing the long term effects. NOBODY at my VAMC ever mentions gulf war ilness, and if I bring it up, it is ignored.. Also with the agent orange, they didnt start acknowledging it voulentarily, NVLSP sued them, and forced the bastards to acknowlege it.

patient advocate is nothing more than a trip wire and gatekeeper to protect the director.. they will lie to you in a heartbeat. they dont give a ratz azz abt veterans, all they care abt is keeping complaints from going up the chain /
