30 years of taking differant meds,they did nothing for me accept give me bad side effects.The one anti-Depressant I never been put on is WellbutrinSR,and it's been around a long time.This med started doing wonders for me within days.So I have to stick with what works,feeling grateful.

Tcannonsr,your post was very touching,I can identify with you as I have gone through many of the things you are going through.It took you a long time to go to the V.A but better late then never and looked what happened they granted you 100% P&T,which we all know is a very hard award to get and your getting the proper care that you wouldn't get anywhere else.Like Asknod mentioned get your self a hobby or maybe volunteer with the Wounded Warrior Project,if they are in your state or volunteer with the V,A because you have a lot of good to offer.Idle time can be our worse enemy,keep your head up and congratulations.

At least the V.A isn't putting us on the back burner.It looks like there making headway and taking the initiative to give us the best services and health care we deserve.After I got out out of the hospital awhile back for my ptsd,the day after I got home,I couldn't believe it.I got 3 phone calls throughout the day from the V.A,one was a social worker,a nurse and a doctor all asking me how I am feeling with alot of other questions related to my Emotional health and the nurse asked me how my satisfaction was with the care I received on the unit,I said 100% because I felt the care could not be any better.I been to many private insurance pchyciatric hospitals in my life,and the care I received did not even come close compared to care I received from the V.A.With all the corruption and scandels that's been going on lately,I can only see the care and services for us getting better,that's what I feel with my experiences from the V.A in recent months.I'm sure the care is not the same in all the states,but hopefully it will be equal to the care that I been recieving here in Upstate New York.Have a good day everybody.

Buck52,I agree with you that it depends on the rater.All rates will diagnose you differently.What if your rater had a bad night,he may have an attitude and give you a different report,then if he had a good night.I heard about some raters being obnoxious and having an attitude,and these raters are giving inaccurate reports.Does anyone agree with my post?

I am in,I would love to go to something like this and meet the hadit members.Especially in Orlando,I am moving to Florida next month,but I would go to Indiana also.My wife would love this also.TBird I can help you if needed.I will even donate a decent amount of money to help other hadit members to be able to go.Its great its a year away,so everyone has time to plan for this.Me and my wife feel very excited about this.

I have major sleep problems also.Try not to take any benzodiazepines or ambien.Ambien is an evil sleep medication,and both are very addictive.My doc has me on trazodone,and its helping a great deal,it has helped with my nightmares also.Just letting you know what is working for me.

Since I am 100% P&T,will i definetly get my S.S.D?

I could be wrong,I'm still learning,but I see 100% but not P&T,future exams scheduled.If this was for individual unemployability I see 100% P&T.You went from chronic to chronic/severe,your ptsd symptoms are worse.But your report doesn't say total occupational/social impairment,so maybe I'm wrong with the 100% P&T.Your examiners report is very similiar to mine and I was awarded 100% P&T. I definetly see an increase.Keep your head up bud,good luck.If your not granted 100%,i definetly see at least 70%,good luck.

Is anybody taking Wellbutrin.I had to stop the Lexapro,bad side effects.I been taking Wellbutrin for 7 days now and I can't believe how good I feel the depression has lifted,but still have really bad anxiety.Im starting to be able to socialize and feeling a bit comfortable for the first time,I'm actually having conversations with people and feeling a bit comfortable.I could never socialize especially in crowded social gathering.Feeling Grateful

I got my I.D card yesterday.The whole process went so smooth.I made the appointment online.When I showed up at the base,they were waiting for me.The whole process took about a half hour.How do I find out where and what bases have commissary in New York? Thanks.

I wish I could not worry about what others think of me.Its terrible.It rents so much space in my damn head about what others think about me.My wife always says,the hell what others think about you,worry about yourself.Maybe it's a self esteem issue or self confidence,I don't know.All I know is that I am not a hot bed of mental health,and I need to work on myself everyday,as its a life long process for me.

Since I am 100% T&P,do I have automatic life insurance and how much? if it's not automatic what do I need to do,thanks.
