  1. Yes indeed it is very very powerful especially if you bring it to the Dr. Office who has pledged to uphold his/her commitment of oath should document this in my healthy vet chart! It is Supernecessary and indeed helped me shed light and approve my case.
  2. Interesting, I have gone to qtc, lhi and a third other one and i can't remember the name. The third outsourced exam vendor i went to i have still not been able to get the exam notes. I was referred to send in a request for information act to the records department at the VA who in turn created a claim in ebenes very very very weird and no telling if the results were what i really requested (just the exam notes from the vendor) because the VA sent me a package with a CD with no instructions. Assuming this cd had the information i had requested there was no for sure answer because the CD had no data.... so pissed...ugh
  3. Where you at Gastone.

Unfortunately  I don't think Gastone is with us any longer  IWe use to email each other as we became good friends here on hadit through out the years,.

Gastone had his S.C. Disabilities and was 100%  P&T With some SMC's Added in.

He came down with brain cancer last year the type of cancer Senator John Mccain Had.

Gastone  was having surgery's  and he mention to me in one of his last emails  it don't look good for him and he said if he don't reply  it maybe that   he is taking the old dirt nap...This is the last time I heard back from him.

..I tried to email his spouse  but no response, if Gastone is still living  he most likely can't get on the computer /phone.

ALL I Know is I sure miss him here on hadit  his post was well informed and he used most of the regulations  and he had personality that was just liking   I think everyone like Gastone that posted with him..I know I did.

      * Note I have looked up Obituaries in his Area he lived  SEVERAL TIMES  and always come up with nothing .  so he maybe still living but not know anything?? IDK?

God Bless him  and his Family,

      Val,

  4. Please Comment: My PTSD claim has been deferred, i have diagnosis and my MH with VA has connected ptsd as in service however i have a C&P outsourced in a couple of days- any suggestions please help me.
  5. This is good advice, My new claim of ptsd got deferred and i have another one of many i have already had CnP exam outsourced. I have been diagnosed years ago and taking medz, however VA asks for a lot more and even if you provide a couple records that show trauma they will still say then need something else.. i feel ya, im going through this to... And to make it more difficult .. my rep keeps saying " your maxed out" withdrawal your claim".. .aye yaye yaye..
  6. When i left in 99/2000 era they gave me my medical records so that being said i know how purging or non recording can happen back then. I'm not sure what your discharge was however Broncovet is right you will need an upgrade on that dd214. And yes, you need all 3 of what's mentioned and perhaps more. I myself waited almost 20 years to talk about my ptsd and when my Doctor created a nexus or diagnosed me i thought i could just file for ptsd based on that and other copious amounts of notes exams and records however the VA is strict, i still don't have enough proof yet.

    SMC l

Very helpful question with a great explained answered.
  8. I'm not exact on this but i would be surprised that a VA hospital does not have a Neurologist or a resident Neurologist. In most case i have always seen several per one hospital with a chief neurologist as well being the head in charge. All it takes is calling your local VA and request Neurology department and BAM!
  9. Yes' all of that and all of the above/ ive heard many stories about ssa 'SSDI' some good and most difficult. And it all depends on the Judge and the Vocational expert how they see your records and can they find you doing a job of a ampule sealer(basically if they can find a job you can do then denied!) You can have ime, dbq's letter from cogressman you name it, what matters is your record has to be consistent to what you claim and any bumps in the road then the train stops. One very very important thing and that is get a lawyer if you don't know the law or don't want to know it very well. And find out what the EOL is like.. the end of life of your insurance with SSA ' yes when you apply for SSDI" if this is what your doing, from the time you submit that application you have 5 years and five years only before it expires and if your not approved by that time is up then there is no more left.
  10. Does your friend have a POA, i'm not quite sure if he would qualify for back pay.
  11. I hope that you get the answers you need on this status soon and before holidays most certainly would be a blessing.
  12. My last 5 exams have been outsourced, you all still getting it down at the VA?
  13. Just to throw it out there, i was scheduled 2 different appointments for i guess help on a decision for an old claim that was at BVA level. The VA just needed more information after 5 years to substantiate the claim and see if my argument appeal was waranted and the exam was done by a contractor and it was so much better than the VA's exam, this was 30 days ago and 3 weeks ago i got the decision. Still it's like this did not exist in Blue button or va.gov.... anywhere else i have looked into .. my charts.. selecting all data from records in range etc... nothing.. no C&P at all.. FYI
  14. I think when your at 50 SSA finds less jobs for you to be able to do and this is key because SSA loves to go after what they think you can do however when your at your age it gets more difficult to prove you can make enough to be considered gainfully employed. SSA and VA system does not see eye and eye, one system might say your unemployable and the other will show you a list of jobs out there in the national economy that you can do. Where you referring to SSI? or SSDI because there are 2 different programs, i assume you mean social security disability. With SSDI which is what you put in over years you most verify you have enough work credits (see SSA.GOV) you can also log into this website and verify if you have enough credits. Anyway what to watch out for is with SSDI if you apply the timer starts ticking leaving you only 5 years to go through the process or processes or the insurance expires and you'll have to work=generated credits again (that's like 10 more years of work).
  15. Stumpy579 as to the blue button notes, i would say 3-7days average taking weekends into account has always been the gauge. As i recall i do remember seeing C&P done from the VA and my recall to memory is that C&P takes longer. Now not to add a question on your post but i think its waranted' I have had 5 recent C&P's however they were done via Contractors and 2 C&P's are more than 30days old. I have not been able to see anything from these contractor physicians and or DDS' there are no entries as if this did not exist. This is a question and a FYI.
  16. Just out of curiosity, is it possible that MD, DC has faster process? I really hope it does not take you so much longer for a total consolidation and finalization. Thank you for your service!
  17. Wow, Thank you for sharing this and i hope you have a speedy recovery. Shedding light on this type of data is so critical to us all.
  18. Just a FYI, I just had my TBI Eval done by a private contractor ( THE VA and or RO in my area) has been aggressive with scheduling with contractor companies that appears to me to be big time because i've been to 4 in a month and it's always tailored to Veterans and is always packed with us. I will let you know how my upcoming contractor eval's go however so far it these exams are similar to a private Doctor and the atmosphere is so different(not like a VA hospital setting). My last appointment with 2 contractors went swell btw.

    Award

I wanted to comment as a scenario response to and a question myself. I am "entitled to disability compensation at the 100 percent rate due to service-connected disability(ies). This total disability is considered permanent. You are not scheduled for future examinations." I was awarded this almost shy of 5 years ago and it was based on a combination of 10's and a 50- They bumped me up because i think' i was homeless had letters from Voc Rehab and HUDVASH that i was unemployable due to mostly my migraines. I was able to get a place for me and my Son and finally put past all the chaos like medical and housing which was hard to deal with as i had a child in need. I also had a old claim started before approved TDIU and even though my POA told me to withdrawal old claim for OSA and sinus "or ill shake up my claims and put tdiu at risk" i just let it go through appeals and i was just recently awarded backpay. It moved me from a combined 70TDIU to a 90TDIU. I was then told that if i had any disabilities old or new that i thought would put me at a combined 100 that i should apply so i did. I only applied for "PTSD" which i had been treated for years and having a VA doctor connect it to inservice, so i felt confident to go this route. A week goes by and instead of noticing the entry of "new claim for Ptsd" in VA.Gov i notice: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Combat - Mental Disorders (New) TBI (New) fractured jaw/teeth (Increase) broke and rearranged nose (New) tension headaches (previously denied as headache due to concussion and head injury) (Increase) And i go apeshi... this happened on a Thursday and i called my POA however was not able to get a hold of them till today. And in the meantime i had a barrage of qtc contractor appointments scheduled before that weekend "5 of them" When i finally go a hold of my POA i talked with the same person who told me to withdraw my old appeal i had started before i was awarded TDIU. And they told me this... They don't know why the VA put in a increase for all the other claims that show's i did not apply for (and they verified this) concluding that they are puzzled. The put me on hold and had to call me back indicating they were going to call 937 or some number which i think is inhouse slang for a regional VA office. My POA informed me that they tried to have the VA pull the plug on the mishap however told me that they could not. This Same POA told me " you see we tell Veterans not to get greedy " You already have TDIU ' you would have received treatment for any condition but you started the TRAIN and now you can't stop it" WHY do the POA talk to Veterans like that .. so so demeaning in my opinion " and i tried to avoid this particular POA because i found 1 in there office that is very on point and nice and thought i was going to get him again. Anyway the POA did tell me that who ever received my request for new claim read my notes i put in the new claim area comments for example, On delployment during a situation i fell 9 feet to my face, broke or fractured jaw, concussion and blacked out. ( The POA explained that the VA generated a new claim for what they thought should be done per my comments) So interesting odd, i replied why would they also put in for a increase for headaches when the maximum is 50% and i have that' the POA said, maybe they will try and reduce the rating (Like so much negative not positive help here) Anyway' i went to my first appointment for (NEW) claim that i didn't select or start and i think it went well. I'm not concern about the real situation at hand which amounts to ... my disabilities have also gotten worse and it's notated. The VA doctors have also filled out reports like medical summary reports and DBQ that indicate "no expectations to get better" would miss more that 8 days a month if i worked and be of task 80% of the day if i did work. My concern is for my SON and his medical issues as well as my service DOG and his medical treatment, everyone get medical assistance covered and if i loose TDIU, i will be reduced to a mere miserable situation. Hope this helps anyone and i hope anyone helps me with a rep
