  1. congrats richjh and I concur with pete53 soory for the length of time it took and thank you for your service
  2. Congrats chinavet and thanks for your service
  3. Wow thanks for your service and sorry for your sufferings hopefully they have all the SMCs awarded to you
  4. MC I agree with Notorious Kelly Ebenefits is dependent on data input if it is updated correctly by the people inputing the data it well show correctly have however noticed improvements hopefully this is because of improvement with input field requirements prompting the workers to enter in correctly on their end. On the retirement portion would definately pursue that to make sure it is cleared up
  5. Sorry Stu wanted to add make sure they have all birth certificate copies as well as marriage certs
  6. Stu I had to add an dependent likewise or simply show a divorce certificate back in 1991 they show this as a pending claim hopefully they will get you processed as adding dependents should not take as long as it is taking them for you I agree with broncovet make sure you have given them the proper addresses and double check them that they have the right address. Hope this helps Thank you for your service
  7. billygoat21 Looks like they needed some specifics stay positive as likely they are crossing all the Ts and dotted the eyes to come to a decision the age of my claim was in excess of 36 months while I have actually be battling the VA since 1997 and finally got over the hump you will too keep the faith and thank you for your service.
  8. I concur with rpowell01 anytime you have a doctor write a letter or an IMO it almost always should weigh more that a CPO aka Physicians Assistant would try to ask your doctor if he can write a brief letter detailing diagnosis etc.
  9. I don't know about the Seattle area but the decision phase and notification phases according to the Houston VA can take 30 days or a little more depending what they have to type up the notification phase I think is wrong once your packet has been signed off all that is left to do is for them to put the decision letter in a brown envelope and mail it via their mail room generally here in the Houston area it takes 4 to five days to recieve it. I cannot see where there would be any difference in Seattle it looks like whoever told you this needs a new line of work Now Ebenefits can be wrong if the data input is wrong on their end anyways will be praying for you all keep the faith. Thanks for your service
  10. Congrats Reader19 I agree with Phillip Rogers the VA always tends to lowball rating on first go around
  11. Crogatulations bob1364 and I agree with Phillip Rogers go for your IU
  12. Inthewind It should take from one to two months I filed for mine the other day just like you but have filed before when at 60% and SSDI and the refund generally took a month or two and the different tax refunds came at different times Like school came on one date Mudd taxes etc another date it depends on your county mine in Galveston is sending everything off on sept 19th so anytime after that and the time it takes each entitity to process. hope this helps
  13. vistagirl81 I would get the process started for SSDI immediately all you need is to give them the medical evidence and supporting documents I had SSDI long before my P%T was awarded SSDI would be a big help for you at this time hope this helps.
  14. My pleasure snookster best of luck on the exam remember to tell them how bad you feel.
  15. Yoopergirl Sorry to hear about this decision however do not give up even with a good economy I worked a high paying career field sick many years and now and am up this time of night with conditions worse as a result the private sector expects their employees to be able to handle the position they fill. Migraines and the conditions you state do not fulfill that and bipolar and mental problems I know you can get SSDI I remember reading about that while applying for my SSDI three and a half years ago. If you do not have SSDI better apply for it and once you get it submit the award as additional evidence on your claim (I wrote this not knowing if you already have this) Hope this helps I will be praying for your family Thanks For your service
  16. WMserver It appears like you have everything under control especially everything being in your service records one thing to watch for is do not tell them how good you are feeling if they ask go into your conditions looks like a very high possible rating such as 100% P&T I have severe stomach problems myself and bad feet as well don't have some of the others but professionally (i.e. speaking as a former corp man in the private sector) speaking it looks like you are really unemployeable. Keep the faith remember buzz words like I feel ok thanks can go against you during the examination make sure you use words describing the nature and symptoms how you feel from day to day etc. Hope this helps Thank You for your service
  17. Thanks rpowell01 for this post and all whom chimed in I have lumbar issues as well exactly L5-S1 when it moves and touches my nerves its hell
  18. Fred Bear If it is possible I would ask you doctor if he could write you a brief letter detailing the effects etc. Mine did of course not all doctors are alike but it is helpful and explain to your doctor you need it to help clear up any confusion the VA claims folks might have as well as if you are anywhere else i.e. on an emergency you have something to give another doctor detailing everything as to not allow them to have to reinvent (i.e. go through the discovery process already done on your condition). I did this with mine as I wrote above and submitted it as additional evidence hope this helps Thank you for your service
  19. Thanks Berta you once I thought had a link with a checklist I believe detailing tips on filing claims do you still have it up I think it was you that posted a link years ago anyways I used your advice and that from Pete back then and it paid off. Thanks Again
  20. Congrats Dominiopino Thank you for your service I have to learn more about the dental and others thanks for the post
