Walk In Tub 1 2 3

my poor wife has fallen again and broke her pelvis in two places. She is now in a nursing home rehab and has been for a month. This makes ten broken bones and numerous operations. I would like to get her a walk in tub so I can walk in, set her down and soak and relax. Does anyone know if champva would pay for this. I called the champva rep and he did not know if they would pay or not. He said that I would have to get a code from the Doc. Thanks and any info would be appreciated. Red

May not be the right forum, but: Received a letter today "inviting" me in for a urine drug screen. Specifically stated: "It is time for you to come in for a required urine drug screen test." 1st time had to do this. New policy or do they know something I don't?

I have been having a problem with my legs and fluid retention. I suspect my pacer and or my heart is acting up so I called my local VA clinic where my PCP is located and was told that I could not be seen until the last of December. That is 8 weeks! I have never in the past had that much of a delay in seeing my doctor. The system is truly broken.

Got a question for anybody who has been on Opoids for some time and then came off of them. I started on pain meds; Oxycodone back around October 2013 for Cervical and Lumbar DDD/DJD with Upper and Lower Radiculopathy. For some reason i haven't been part of this new opioid pain medication cut back. I think its because of the severity of my pain and all the tests they run still shows current radiculopathy with current polyneuropathy bilaterally in my legs. Anyway, from October 2013 up to December 2015 or January 2016 I was on Oxycodone 5mg. The 5mg effects ran its course (its life ran out). Instead of just upping the mgs to 10mgs my VA Neurologist added Morphine ER 15m…

I was talking to my VA MH Therapist yesterday about alL the damn MH meds I been taking along with other Dr's meds from the VA.. I ask him if it was necessary for me to take all these meds & could one or another possibly conflict with the other so to speak He said he would put in for me to see a VA MH Pharmacist , he said they can look at all my meds and what there for and see if I can get off of a few. Ok after given this some thought (not that I'm paranoid eh) >Now I'm not so sure I will do this...simply b/c when they take away your meds the VA seems to think your condition has improved and R.O. Gets word of this and they fire out that ol…

I have seen my new psych 4 times total and each time he has added new meds, or increased the dosage of existing ones. appt 1: sertraline 50mg. (Now @100) appt 2: Seroquil (quetiapine fumarade) 50mg (Now @100). appt 4: bupropion 100mg. Long story short I don't want to take All of these. At my old VA I was prescribed 1 pill, Adderall, for 8 years. It did not fix my issues, but it made me happen when I took it. New VA, new Psych stopped the adderall and gives me these pills that make me feel zombified during the day and also haven't fixed my issues. I'm still angry at random and distrust people, still have days where Im so sad with my life I wa…

I am rated at 70%. It is my understanding once you reach 50% you can get treated free for non service connected problems at the VA in the US. Under the FMP you cannot. You get treated free only for service connected problems. Could someone please explain the logic of such a policy? I live in Thailand and medical care is much cheaper here. I would think it would be to their benefit to have everything treated under FMP as well. Thanks.
