ptsd Va Rating 1 2

Hello, I am new to this forum and just have a question about the VA rating and how long it really takes. I am now a retired veteran from the Army & Marines. I was 2yrs shy of my 20yr retirement. I received a 80% permanant disability retirement rating. I did the BDD claim process and VA physicals back in March and i am still waiting on that rating. My DAV rep told me not to look for anything until around September. Just a couple weeks ago, i got a letter from the Compensation Rating Office. The letter said they are still processing my application for Compensation. We apologize for the delay. I have no idea why they wasted my time sending me that, lol. I call…

Last February, I was award 2 months temp 100% for heart bypass surgery. I immediately filed a new "claim" stating that I should have received 3 months temp 100% for my surgery (per the rating schedule) and SMC for the 3 months of temp 100% (per the total plus 60% rule). It is now June, and no one, not even the IRIS inquiry, can tell me anything other than my claim is "still open and in development". I would have thought that this claim would be processed relatively quickly since my original claim was already adjudicated; I am merely asking the VA to correct an oversight. Why do I feel like they are waiting for me to die? I have since developed a chronic lung infecti…

Rec.'ed the brown envelope today, approved for ED. It also tells me I am eligible for the life insurance, which I will apply for this time around. It doesn't say anything about chapter 35 benefits for spouse, I am 100% P&T from 1999. Wouldn't a new rating open all that up again? My wife and my son didn't use any of those benefits before. What other benefits might I be eligible for that the VA isn't telling me about, if any? Thank you for any Info. David

I just got a rating decision from the VA giving me 50% for PTSD. I am still waiting on a decision for Sezuiers and tbi (which i think that they may combine),depression, and A&A. So without this other stuff I have 210% disability which they still rate me at 90% how? Also I am in a wheelchair due to my tbi and seziuers and my wife takes care of me i am not helpless but I can't perform my duties as a husband without a little help. They have put me in for reg A&A after a decision is made how would I get this increased to R1? My doctor filed out th form my wife has to drive me, the va just told me I can't manage my finaces, can't own a firearm and etc. I am tired of the…

Let me first start off by saying thank you to all the veterans no matter how long ago it was you served. Thank you for you sacrifice and heart for this country. May God bless you all!!! Hi Everyone, I met with my SO yesterday and we couldn't figure out if a vet can get housebound and A&A. After the A&A exam it's looking good I will get it. I also meet the criteria for housebound and the +60%. So do I just get SMC (L) for A&A or do they give me (S) too? I also saw something about having 50% + outside of your SMC aliment gets you a half step. Is that true? If so it's my back that caused my TDIU. I then have asthma 30%, mental 50%, and right foot injury 10% which I believe combines to 70%. Any help is apperciated.

I went to the VA last year, they waited 2.5 months to remove a disc that was on my spinal cord. I can hardly walk and on tons of pain meds. Last week the at the C&P exam the doctor wrote it is more probable than not and a few other things saying the delay in treatment caused the spinal cord damage. I take care of my personal needs but can't clean house or take care of my kids...

Hi I am just following up on a tpoic I posted in another part of the forum. My husband has a 100% PTSD rating from 1988. He had initial 30% from 1978 onwards. He got 100% rating after VA CUE'd themselves and stated it should have an earlier effective date. This date was changed 2 times, so we have 3 award letter. There is no mention on the award letter or the following payments schedule that let us know what payments to expect. I understand that SMC is an "inferred" issue when there is a single disability rated at 100% (no TDIU). So does any one know the procedure here. It he eligible for retro SMC????? If so how to I start the proces i.e. which forms evi…
